um, why is ep 82 in a different format?

sorry, i'm new to this... but why did they chnage the format of ep 82 such that we had to dl more codecs / applications off the web to view it? 'ppreciate any help.

I think it was just a new version of DIVX or XVID they used to encode it... not a different format, just newer

It's still XviD, probably the 1.0 RC4 version. Newer versions allow better encoding quality with smaller filesizes (in most cases).

It is XviD 1.0 RC4. remember to uninstall all previous versions of XviD before installing RC4, or it the playback may still be screwy.

I had RC3, and still had to upgrade to RC4. Hopefully, successive RCs will continue to have playback capabilities for previous RCs.
