if you are using a router, you have to open up ports 6881 to 6889 and forward these ports to your IP address

unless your using azureus, where you then only need to open 6881

ah, there is your problem hehehehe

what kind of router do you have?

for me, all i do is enter in the router IP into my internet browser(default ip is 192.168.1.1 for me) then enter my password for the router(default is admin)

at that point, i locate the port forwarding options, and forward it to my computers internal network ip(which in this case is 192.168.1.101) save your changes, then boom, your done. remember though, this is for a linksys router, probably is diffeferent with other routers.

Port Type is TCP. Open ports 6881 to 6889.

i guess you can put ID as Bittorrent
i think if you put it as a public port, you don't have to specify your IP address coz those ports will be open for all computers
