Kakashi and Itachi

In episode 82 I noticed how Kisame was going to try and fight Kakashi when Itachi told him to stop that if he hurt that man he would not be forgiven. Then When he did that jutsu on him Kakashi said that he could of killed him easily but didnt. Does anyone else thing there is something or like a bit of a soft spot for Kakashi or is it just me??

why didnt you put this in the naruto 82 thread? anyway thats only in the s-o translation, in the A&A translation Itachi just says 'If you fight him head on you will suffer unneccesary injuries" (5:26) im not sure which is right since I dont speak Japanese but I tend to go with A&A.
EDIT:hehe guess I took to long locating it in the A&A version of 82.
