I don't exactly know how old fish face is, or how old zabuza is. But im guessing that they were some how related. Most likely friends, or even sensei-student relationship depending on how old kisame is. welll discuss. he seemed quite pissed off...

i say that they know each other because they are missing nins and i'm sure the word gets around.

Both of them being missing-nin of the Hidden Mist implies that they may have known each other before, but I doubt it was a sensei-student relationship.

v No, I don't really know what you mean v

Well I guess you'll never really know the relationship between them..unless of course, they tell you. But since they are from the same country I think they wouldve met before..but man just because they have big swords doesn't mean they are definately related...you know what I mean...

Yes.Also, with a record like Zabuza, you'd know him, even Leaf knew him well.

zabuza seems like such a weakling now. i remember thinking he was some badass guy with a huge ass sword that can kill anyone, but now that were this far, he seems so much weaker... I dont think that kisame would be zabuza's sensei/student. But for sure they had to know each other. They were probably comrades before.

What I can see is:
Both are from Mist Village/Water country
Both are nuke-nins (missing nins)
Kisame is older that Zabuza because he called him Kozou (brat)
I don't see anything that indicates that Kisame was Zabuza's sensei.

Hmm. I don't quite agree with you there. It would be interesting to see how Kakashi would fare against Kisame however.

And to remind you, Zabuza did managed to trap Kakashi at first.

I would say they are more or less comrades (Seven Mist Swordsman thingy), but probably nott the same age. because Zabuza did killed all his classmates.

I wouldn't say the same age, because he killed 100 of his classmates. But we don't know if that's *all* of his classmates. In any case, judging for the way he refered to Zabuza, Kisame is older than him.

Zabuza is far from weak. He hold out pretty long against Kakashi in their first fight, and had the upper hand for quite awhile until Kakashi decided to end things.

Kisame, we can't really judge his power, because we've hardly see him fight. Before he could pull any cool moves, Itachi just Mange Sharingans someone, then decides that they need to run away. Kisame IS part of the Akatsuki, he is obviously quite powerful.

And even though he referred to Zabuza as a brat, they still might have a Sensei-student relation, because the Mist village is not exactly known for its friendly attitude. Kisame may have been inspiration for Zabuza, becoming a missing-nin because he first tried to pull a coup, or may even have supported Zabuza to see how it panned out. Guess we'll have to wait and see...

didnt the "Mist Seven Swordsmen" try to take over mist village? or something like that...
but they failed and then became missing nins

I think they attempted to assassinate the Mizukage and failed, which led them to become missing nin.

Honestly I think Zabuza is dead and buried. Well, I know that he is dead and buried.
I don't really believe there will be any more references to him in the story.
They had do mention Zabuza because both Kakashi and Kisame use the same water jutsu, so, I'd say, that Kisame would figure out where did Kakashi's move came from. Other than that, what would be Zabuza's function in the story now?

I recall it saying in the manga that Zabuza and Kisame fought once, but I read it like a few days ago and often forget what happened a few minutes ago, so I could be wrong, but if Zabuza were mentioned in the story, it would probably be to give some more info on Kisame's past, like he'd appear in a flash back or something. And Zabuza weak? Put down the drugs, you speak as if he was killed by Naruto or Sasuke, he was taken out by Kakashi, who is no joke, compared to someone like Orochimaru he may seem weak, but that doesn't mean he is weak.

bah who cares about hidden mist ninja's?

They are weak garbage compared to uchiha's, mainly itachi ^_^

oh and Zabuza really sucked imo I mean naruto when hes weak an untrained manage to hit him with a kunai lol?, and then haku has to save his ass early, if it was itachi no two lil brats would lay finger on him.

The worst when he loses to a dumb dog summon (hows a assassin killer from hidden mist lose to a dumb dog summon techinique?)

kisame is like nappa (acts tough and is dumb) and itachi is like vegeta (badass l33tness) hopefully itachi kills kisame cause he sucks so bad and nowhere near his lvl =D

plus even gai owned him hahha

i didnt read anything of your posts so ill just answer the question. both zabuza and kisame were part of the seven katana hidden mist shinobi who launched an attack at the fuedal lord of their country and failed to kill him which made all of them missing nins.

I don't think Kisame was a part of the coup on Mizukage, seeing as Zabuza was the leader of that operation, and I doubt Kisame who is more than likely more powerful than Zabuza would let someone weaker than him lead.

I say more than likely because, well, let's look at the other Akatsuki members we know of so far: Itachi and Orochimaru.

It's safe to say Akatsuki is a pretty exclusive club.

maybe his not stronger considering zabuza only had that little boy (forgot his name naku or someshat) as a comrad an kisame hangs around itachi, which itachi just knocks out anyone who crosses them .. so kisame can just talk big.. an know he has itachi to back him up ..

just my 2c =)

they have already mentioned that all of the 7 katana mist shinobi was part of it and they do not state that zabuza was the leader. also kisame says himself that he was one of the 7 katan mist shinobi and all of them was part of the attack at the fuedal lord.

Maybe fishface is just a coward who hides out in groups to protect himself. he may be powerful but that doesn't make him less of a coward. He seems somewhat afraid of itachi, but then again, who wouldn't be.

Its a shame that it will take a very long time before we see Kisame agian,in the anime after they they met Jiraya cause i liked his style and would like to se other moves from him, like someone already said he must be very powerful if he is in a group with memers like Itachi and Orichimaru
