What is the name of the instrumental composition they play sometimes when a battle takes place? For reference, the one I'm looking for is the one that plays in the background in episode 79, starting at 11:45ish. I'm looking for an extended version of that instrumental or something.

Draco, I listening to it, I think thats the "strong and strike" one Guy mentioned in response to Konoha

Nope, those two are different, "Stong and Strike" isnt the one at the 6.23 mark. It sounds like it would be on the first two ost's but i havent found it myself. anyone out there have the answer?

that song in 78 at 6:23 is the Naruto main theme, and is also the song that konoha rek was talkin about, the old guy he was talkin about is the part where they say something like, "ta ta ta ta ta ta", u can find it on the first sound track, its Naruto's main theme, dont remember the name exactly but i think that is the name, strong and strike is the song that plays during sasuke's fight against orochimaru way back in the chuunin exam in the forest, and "Raising fighting spirit" is the song that plays in 79, i listen to both soundtracks all the time so i'm 100% sure of what im saying

it is when people are more used to seeing "rex" than "rek"
and most people have a tendancy to just read the first part of a word and then stop thinking they know what's coming next ^^ (arrogant people aren't we?) especaially when it vaguely looks like rex ^^

im quite positive the first one is "the raising fighting spirit"....it SOUNDS like "strong and strike"....but there IS a difference
the second one is "NARUTO MAIN THEME"
