how are KAA's subs compared to the other DVD groups?

anyone got some experience with KAA and others like Anime-4ever, or AnimeHQ?

KAA is easily the top DVD group around. Their encodes are in the highest quality possible. The only thing is that their slow but if your patient, then its worth it. If KAA is doing an anime, then I ALWAYS get their version.

Ask any other encoder and they'll tell you that they don't know how to encode, that they usually over smooth their releases...


But for me, I've never noticed since I know shit about that... and me myself have never had a problem with their releases...

On the other hand encoders will tell you that KAA is way better than they were before, now that they got away from using the wmv9 codec.

Anime 4-ever is generally not known for their quality, but quantity. Anime Legion, Anime HQ or Zhentarim DivX are better choices for quality as far as ripping goes.

I would go with KAA over Anime 4-ever, as their quality has drastically improved.
