whats the time difference between japan and the east coast?

Well in GMT, it's 8 hours ahead... and EST is 6 hours less then GMT... but you maybe count the time the other way around the world..

Tokyo is +9, USA east is -5 so you when it's 19:30 there, it's 5:30 at your time...

Well I live on East Coast and I just figure it out that they're one day ahead but in the other time of day. So if it was Tuesday 8 pm on the East Coast in Japan that would be Wednesday 8 am...I think lol.
EDIT:The newspaper here had some coverage on Japan since the Devil Rays were playing the Yankees in Tokyo and they're 11 hours ahead I think it said.
