Neon Genesis Evangelion

So I've watched up til episode 24 and have 25,26 left, but some people say that I shouldn't whatch those because it would ruin the story and instead they're referring me to end of evangelion, when does that movie take place, after 24 or what, and that death&rebirth, what's that just a summary of all tv-eps?

I've got the whole tv-series, death&rebirth and i'm downloading end of evangelion now, so tell me a lil more.

Death and rebirth is just a summary, pretty much. The end of evangelion is what you could call the "real" ending. 'Cause there really isn't on in the series, can't remember where they went all "Oh-god-we-ran-out-of-money-and/or-time-so-let's-make-up-some-shitty-end"... I thought it was just the two last episodes, but I can be wrong.

I wonder if they did the same stupid thing with Rurouni Kenshin OVA2, because it was not based on the manga and it had a total different ending, and it was really bad too. I wonder why they're doing such things, they should follow the authentic storyline

I'd recommend still watching the last two eps, but you'll still need to see end of evangelion (death & rebirth is the entire series cut down into a a short summary).

The last two eps of the series were about the main character (can't remember his name, shinji or something?!) coming to terms with who/what he is, and what has happened around him (at least that's how i interpreted it).
