Hey right now I'm a Student, I was wondering how do I become a Genin and the other ranks

It goes by posts, Genin: 100, Chunnin: 500, Jounin: 1,000, and I think the next one after that is 4,000

You don't need 100 posts to use an avatar.

Kono, does anyone HAVE 4000+ posts? Interested to know what that title is... *though I am pretty far away from it myself =P*

Would be cool if we could choose our own title i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif genin sounds stupid along my nickname i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

yeah i think past a 1500 posts you should get to chose ur own title, but naruto related i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif
