I just started my download of episodes 1-10 of Naruto and they seem to be very VERY slow. With 600+ peer and 10 or so seeds, why am I getting speeds no greater than 1 k/sec? My other downloads are fine. Either something is wrong with the tracker, or some people really need to stop being greedy users and increase their upload limits. Thanks.

hmm, i dunno.

im used to on shadow that i have to adjust my speed settings a little, could be that.

Or it could just be a shitty torrent. Ive had those before, like 20 seeds, 200 peers, and all i got was 10kb/s

yes, bittorrent download speeds rely on the amount you upload - "tit for tat" as they call it on the bit torrent site

I agree with what zipplet said. Its disheartning to look at whos connected to a torrent and see how many have downloaded lets say, for example, 500mb and only uploaded 50mb. I hear there are even clients now, that can make your upload nothing, and allow you to just leech uncontrolably.

Well i guess some leechers can't be helped. Myself , i hold myself to a sort of torrent ettiquite. If the torrent dosen't have more then 10 seeds, ill stick around for about thirty minutes or so.

Also, something thats happened to me, dunno about others is that after about five to ten minutes after connecting to the torrent, your speed will gradually increase.

Yup, thats supposed to happen. It may seem to go slow at first but as Lego said, give it some time. It will eventually speed up.
