Ni= two. San= three, Yon=4.
And that is as far as my knowledge of Nihongo goes.
Somebody should be able to explain Sho and daime for you.

Don't get me started with asking...i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif
Would be less work than: (insert word here) Japanese word meaning + enter
Though the Kanji site I go sucks... they didn't tell me that yu also meant hot water. Grrr.

BTW, Jacob, why did you put a pic of Genma with the name of Hayate?

The First is just Shodai; not Shodaime. Me (the standard kanji for 'eye' here) is an addition to a number that means the "th" (i.e. go-me=5th), but when you use this method of counting (number + dai + me [except first]; used to indicate succession of a line), you skip it for the first since you're not actually using a number ('Sho' is another reading of a kanji meaning start or beginning). Then it goes Nidaime, Sandaime, Yondaime, Godaime...Infinitybilliondaime....

Sarutobi is the name of the 3rd hokage, we dont know the actual names of the 1st or 2nd, or kazekage.

The burning questions are... is the 3rd Asuma Sarutobi's daddy or related to him?
Is Konohamaru Asuma's kid? Stay tunned...

Neji-aniki, I started a whole thread about that and got some pretty good discussion. Look for it, and check out what people think.

Do you base this knowledge on the anime or the manga? I think the total opposite.

yea, the first seemed more impressive with his "herculean" strength and the secret jutsu that created the woods.

Don't forget, that while in the anime the Second used the Bringer of Darkness genjutsu, in the manga it was actually the First who did it. First is definately stroner.
