The folders on the left of a thread name tell the user if there are new messages in that thread (blue folder for new messages, yellow for none), but what do the two yellow squares at the end of the thread name mean?

It seems that they appear in threads with new messages and those without. So what do they mean?

It means it's a multi-page thread.
