i've had hotmail for the longest time. i don't think i'd switch to something else.

but they gotta increase the number of emails you can block.

I use AIM i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif
I'm fine enough getting in contact with my friends through that..

I used to have Yahoo, but it sucks.. and ICQ, but AOL bought that and made that suckier than it used to be.. plus I kept getting 4568908309754938753987593098359387698559876945 messages for free porno. It all gets old after a while, y'know?

Oh yeah, and I used to have a Hotmail account.. but for some reason, when they transferred over to the MSNPassport stuff, I couldn't log in..

r3n you probably use MSNMessenger due your area code. Since I live somewhere where more people would use AIM, it would make sense for me to use AIM too so I can chat with my friends. And a chatting service is a chatting service. It doesn't have to be elaborate with pretty pictures on every message. Kind of like these forums, it doesn't need signatures to fill it up on every post.

I use aim because the people I want to talk to use aim.

Functionally, aim and msn and yahoo and icq are about the same.... they all have the same basic featuresets (supports text, does it in real time, supports buddy lists, file exchange and image exchange, etc). MSN has the benefit of supporting different charsets so you can use it for non-english-language conversation (hard to have a conversation in arabic or russian over aim). But at the same time, msn has invasive microsoft style features. AIM doesn't support multi-charsets as well, so it's kind of english-centric, but it has a faster look and feel to it and is a bit less invasive. ICQ sucks, because it doesn't take advantage of windows architectural designs and so isn't multi-user friendly, at all (need write access in its directory to run it, how lame is that). But it has logging that aim doesn't (by default, although with third party apps like new deadaim and aim+ you can add that easily enough to aim). Yahoo messenger just sucks gigantic sweaty donkey balls though. It's probably not worth the code it's written in.

now .... as far as mail service goes .... all the free web-based ones pretty much suck. Tons of spam, tons of irritation, limited filtering, etc. If you want a good email provider, you've gotta either be at a university (most uni's have good mail services) or you've gotta have your own organizational or corporate email, or you've gotta own your own mailserver or know someone who does (that's what I'll be doing when I leave the university: run my own mailserver ).

yup, I'm the same complich8 that works for aone and did work on early gungrave (but then had to step back from it 'cause of real life commitments).

You should be able to get gungrave 14 from the series section http://www.gotwoot.net/series.php?p=info&sec=19

If not, there's an xdcc bot in the irc channel #animeone@irc.rizon.net -- look for AonE|gGrave. The pack number is the episode number ^_^. Ask in the channel if you don't know how to leech from an xdcc bot. Someone should help ya out if you ask nicely.

Sweden Is a MSN country everyone that has a computer with internet connection has MSN, that's it, meanwhile AOL is very rare. In the states and in Canada, AOL is as common as MSN in Sweden.

Wasn't there some talk of MS starting to charge for the use of hotmail? soooo many people would be screwed if they did.
