I'm really enjoying the currently aired series released by Anime-Kraze... I didnt think much of it at first... but I now find it to be very good.... is anyone here watching it?

Yeah, I watch it. It's getting pretty good. I love the arcade game too. I beat it with 1 quarter about 6 years ago. think they will make another game based on the anime? that would rock!

it's a good show, though it's a tad unbelievable at times, especially towards the end of ep 7. but anything with dogfights is a good watch in my book

It has very little unbelivable instances... but if you cant cope with that, what the heck are you watching anime for lol...

Anyways... episode six was awesome... I just liked when Shin and Kanzaki crossed each other... and how everything up until now is starting to tie up

I just watched episode 8... very cool episode... and that sniper was awesome...

I'm glad Shinjou had a chance to show-off... i hope that at some time in the series we'll get to see him kicking some ass

basically it's about an airfield called area 88, here are pilots who fight for money. For every enemy shot down, they get money. This is the very basic of the anime, it is worth it to watch though. This sounds like a simple explanation, but its a good show.

Yep... that's basically the surface of the anime... but there is an awesome intriguing plot that is really the main driving force of this series, at least for me, wont talk about it becuase i dont want to spoil it for you...

Just one more episode and we'll see the conclusion of this wonderful series

I really liked the whole series...

As for the ending... it was better than I expected... in fact it was quite good...

My only problem with it is that the series could have easily continued until all matters are resolved... but with the current ending one is left with a feeling on how it will all turn out...

Bumping this really old thread. (And holy shit is it old!) I actually just created a topic about this, but noticing that this existed I decided to post here instead. My original post:

"Some of you might remember a SNES game from 1991 called Area 88, or UN Squadron as it was known as in the US & EU. It was a game produced by Capcom, where you could choose between 3 pilots and blast your way through several levels in your aeroplane. Between levels you had the choice to upgrade it, get new weapons and even obtain new planes.

Anyway, I just recently found out that this beloved childhood game of mine actually is based on an anime with the same name. An OVA series was produced 1985 and is therefore pretty oldschool. In addition, a TV series was made in 2004. So now I have 2 questions:

1. Has anyone seen any of these series, or hell, even played the game? If so, discuss!
2. Ehm... can anyone help me find the anime? i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif I badly want to see these series, and I'm pretty much out of luck..."

Well this is truly an awesome series... I wish there had been more, maybe one extra episode to tie everything up.
