Character: Hyuga Neji

Rules

You are to create one sig using one or more pictures of the character.
You can submit your sig by sending it in a PM to littlecooldude
All sigs are due by 6:00PM Saturday EST


The pictures can't reveal any plot not seen in the anime, and can't
show any moves that have not been seen in the anime.

This works out nicely: 7 advance to round 2, 4 will advance to round 3 and round 4 will be the final 2.

If it had been 3 advancing to round 3 it would have been tough to decide how to handle that. Great submissions last time, and I can't wait to see everybody's next round!

A few people have asked about the background color. I will keep it the same as it was before the forums changed, which is the color #D6DBE0. I hope that settles a bit of confusion.

I havent heard from LCD on the board for a few days, and Ive heard rumor he got fired? i dont even know if the competition is still on since the "powers that be" have shot our sig community in the face. If the competition is dead, Ill volunteer to host a page on my website for em so that at least everyone can see them, if this is the case I will allow ya all to send me any versions you made for this round. So if their is no word from LCD by tomorrow pm me links to your sigs and ill have the site up by sunday night.

Yeah, I asked about that and didn't really get a response..I remember KakashiSensei saying for Round1 that the limit was put aside for the purpose of the contest only. If I was actually using the sig, I'd crank down the size, and take out a couple of the frames that only add smoothness, and compress it some more. Since I won't actually being using the sig, :-( , I didn't see the reason to take the trouble.

Albino, there are 5 frames from normal eyes - full byakugan (which is one of the thins I would edit if I was making it smaller, it really only needs 3) and 4 frames for the shockwave.

it should be tons smaller then. next time after you make ur base background make it a jpg, and open it in a new file and then add all your stuff that will be changing, that way each frame presents fewer layers and thus ur file size will be smaller, at least i think thats how it works. I do that and use animations of anywhere between 10-15 frames and get much smaller file sizes.

The best thing to try is lowering the number of colors. I bet with 64 you can hardly notice a difference.

Edit: I tried it at 32 colors (no difference I can tell) and its 105kb. At 16 colors (a little difference) it was 75kb.

I'd do both lcd's and albino's suggestion if I was actually going to be using the sig, and I'd probably reduce the dimensions down to 400 as well. But, moot point, at this particular moment in time.

Ok, now that there are only 6 people in this round, do we advance 3 or 4?
If we do 4 then we can have two more rounds. Awarding First Place and Runner Up
If we do 3 then we will only have one more round. Awarding First, Second, and Thrid Place.

It would depend on how much longer you want to.. or are able to.. keep this running.

IMO, bring it down to 4... but if you don't have the energy to go two more weeks, then bring it down to 3

i think we orginally set it at 4, then a heads up between the two victors of that round. at least that was my intention when I came up with this tournament format, its more tournament esque with 4 advancing. we could also have a secondary bracket for 3rd and 4th if whoever ends up there wants to compete for that place in a secondary round. plus you have a more definitive winner if it goes top two heads up.

Having two brackets would be cool....if 4 people pass round 2, then the top 2 could have a championship round, and the bottom two could duke it out for a bronze!
