I've successfully burned Naruto on dvd, but I was wondering if there is a program i can use to enlarge the size of the subtitles. You have to sit about a foot from the tv to read them. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks

It's like saying "How can I making the words in this book look bigger". There's no way unless the editor reprints the book with bigger fonts.

In this case, there is no way unless the maker of the subtitles re-encodes the movie with a bigger font.

You -could- re-encode all the episodes with a magnifying effect on the lower half of the screen which would result in bigger fonts... and killing off half the screen to make space for the enlargened fonts... And you'd have to burn everything over again.. and this is not a good idea..

Oh just sub the raw version!

The problem here is that the subbed versions as they come out have the subtitles embedded right in the video stream. You cannot remove or alter them without affecting the video. With the right script, a RAW, and some know-how, you could make a DVD file with a separate subtitle stream, like the commercial releases do. That would be a royal pain, however.

my roommate made divxes of the eva episodes, and kept the subtitles seperate so you could enable/disable them, as well as kept the english and japanese audio tracks seperate so you can switch.......

of course the downside to this is you need a few different programs to install for it to be viewable on your media player
