How is Henge Genjutsu?

Henge no Jutsu is not a genjutsu, it's a ninjutsu. It is stated in the Official Naruto Character Book.

well the best way to explain it would be it changes your apperanece. like tsunades genjutsu its soem sort of henge but stronger that lasts forever or something.

How can Henge be Genjutsu (Illusion)?. In multiple parts in the manga and anime, the charachters change their form using henge and their physical aspects actually change, not just look like it. For example when Naruto and Gamabunta are fighting Shukaku, Gamabunta asks to be Henged into something with claws and such, If it was just an illusion, what would be the point of changing?

It's an illusion on the mind, if the person being attacked believes there is claws, he would feel "claws".

it is not genjutsu...henge is ninjutsu, they transform into the person or thing, its not just an illusion. in the forest during the chuunin exam, sasuke had to use deduction in order to figure out that someone transformed into naruto, if it was genjutsu, sasuke wouldve just seen that it was fake without thinking because his sharingans see through genjutsu

It&#39;s an official data book released by Kishimoto and Shueisha Jump Comics, the company which distributes Naruto. Could Henge be the Konoha&#39;s Special clan move?? I don&#39;t remember any other clans using Henge.

Either than Orochimaru. But he was an ex Konoha.

I mean, Konoha (Leaf), when I think of it, usually i think about the stupid foxes which put leafs on their heads and then they transform into ladies and seduce old men. Thats a japanese tale.

It&#39;s just like the Rain (I think), where Zabuza and the sharkface guy uses the water techniques. That could be their clan special moves.

So is the Konoha, the are from fire country. Thus they use fire alot.

The rain nin in the 2nd exam used Henge to turn into Naruto..
Henge was established as one of the basics, with Bunshin and Kawereme skills

It seems more like Ninjutsu than Genjutsu to me. Like when Naruto turns into the Shuriken, I think that is more ninjutsu than anything. I always consider Henge Ninjutsu because people can look like other people, or change into objects like that.

konoha is a village not a clan. uchiha is a clan. and zabuza is form the hidden mist. konoha specializes in fire jutsus since konoha is in the fire country. henge is a basic move together with bunshin and kawarimi.
