Aoi-Art ('http://www.aoi-art.ab.psiweb.com/sword/consigned/cksword12.html') watch it with the koshirae too, almost $20.000.

I've been researching the past few days and i've learned many things about katana's. The biggest thing was that certificate, consigned ones, that NBTHK approved, Japan considered their katana's with such value that they have restricted their export of katana's, the goverment or NBTHK, that contradicting the export of katana's must approve your export before leaving the country with it, you can go to jail for that... And we're talking about older katana's from 13th century til 19 century...

I didn't know there was such things about katana's now i really know how to recognize a authentic katana... and the price, geez! it's alot!

It's expensive because it's 100 % authentic and made by a famous blacksmith... it's also NBTHK approved whitch means that it's proved that it's real, most katana's out there are katana's that the american's captured and brought home to U.S during WW2, more then 400.000, and those are low-ranked officers katana's and they are like half-oxidized because the western people didn't know how to treat, and take care of a katana... that's very depressing.

That katana is such a wonderfully crafted product. It beats the cheap ones that they try to sell here in the US like:
this one shows why they shouldn't sell worthless products ('http://ebaumsworld.com/katanaslip.html')

once you get a katana what do you do with it? I use my bastard sword on coyote put on some kevlar gloves and kevlar neck guard and go have some fun with trouble some animals (its legal to kill them where I live they attack livestock and in the past have gone after small kids). Wanna have a sword fight to the death? its 12.6 pounds, but I've spent quite a bit of time on speed so i should be able to match your 4 or 5 pound katana. ahhh come on its just a flesh wound.

ahhahahaahhaha poor quality metal with a razor sharp edge... smart

I'm going to quote a wise old man saying

What is swordsmanship without a sword

If you can figure that out for real, then you'll know what i'm talking about

That's the shit man, as I said they have restricted the export of real and authentic katana's that's why they are so expensive.. and that aoi-art is located in Tokyo and that's a place for researching of katana's, Most katana's out there is WW2 ones, that the western-people have destroyed.. But on that site there's only real ones, check under 'consigned', and for you americans that wanna buy authentic katana, found a cali guy with real shit at Ikkyudo ('http://www.ikkyudo.com')

Misa want a real Katana!!!!

Masamune was a blacksmith, hes been called a lot of diffrent names. Reguardless his works if they weren't destroyed would never be sold. There are craftsman of the trade whos works are worth more than money. Stratovarius' violins are worth more than you can imagine, they don't get sold often. Masamune's works i imagine are worth the same. As far as that weapons go its nice and all but with 20k you could do better things with your time. In reguards to what do you do with something like that question. Well simply you sword things, seems a pretty simple concept to me. Itachi most westerners saw the swords they took from the commanders overseas as souveneirs and worn't all that concerned with the condition of the blade for combat use. Its not hard to keep a weapon in shape it doesn't require all that much unless to hack things up with it. I dunno about using a weapon to kill pest animals, though if thats what you find amusing go right ahead. I'll stick to using my weapons for practice and thats it. Though i do fear for the dumbass stupid enough to break into my home.

Well, I want a consigned one from a famous blacksmith, I've heard that the first Masamune and all other blacksmith's eventually had an apprentice that took over their name and brought the name of Masamune another decades.. so if that's correct then there is a masamune today but maybe he dosen't work as a blacksmith no more

Vagabond

Wasn't Muramasa Masamune's apprentice?
