Well, I've only seen the first season so far (hopes not to get flamed), but if it goes like DBZ length, then I might be a little mad. However, if they get other villages involved, or side series or movies and such, then it might make up for it.

Speaking of 'only Konoha', how many other villages are there? Wind, Water, Fire, Sound, Leaf (Konoha)....?

I know I'm a Newbe here, but Kakashi's summon is element earth, so he had to touch the ground to summon it right? I saw Naruto's summon and Orochimaru's too, but I haven't seen the Hokages. Maybe the Hokages is elemental as well, Naruot's and Orochimaru's didn't have element things assigned to them.

sometimes longer anime series break off from the manga....so there IS a chance this will as well. I know some people might attack me for bringing this up as a possibility, but if they ever planned to do that with this series, then I would imagine it happening after this saga.

They&#39;ve already broken Naruto into sagas? Or are you speaking about the 26-episode &#39;seasons&#39;?

I really hope they don&#39;t break off from the manga. Not that I&#39;ve read it, I just don&#39;t want to have to wait so friggin&#39; long for SJ to release then in volumes, and then have the anime be completely different.

the manga is currently at 205 chapters and it&#39;s far from being over. episode 71 of naruto starts from mid ch 190 and the anime adds random crap in it. for example, tenten&#39;s fight against temari was one page long. the anime was completely different. it showed every part of the fight. so...if the anime finishes on the last chapter of the manga, there would definitely be more than 200+ episodes (maybe even 300+?).

I haven&#39;t read any of the manga as of yet, but if 71 began on 190, then the anime caught up to the manga a lot quicker than I thought. Most say that the anime is a little over halfway through the manga at this point.

the length of the anime is based on how long the manga will be. not how popular it will become.

as for the ninja villages. they are konoha(leaf), sound, rain, mist, cloud, stone, grass, sand. if they were to involve all these villages in the story the series would be 500 episodes. i dont think they will involve more villages or rather i dont want them to.

I did some math a long time ago and at a constant rate of 1.5 manga chapters per anime episode they catch up at anime ~240 / manga ~380.

As they recently bring in a lot stuff not mentioned in the manga or in greater detail - we will see the 200th naruto episode. I am sure of that. Even 300 could be possible, ~450 manga chaps are not that far from possible.

Well i can tell you none manga readers that the last eps is indeed Chapter 120 of the manga. since the manga is currently at chapter 205 and shows no sign of slowing down there is going to be over 200 eps no dubt

Crap...Think of the DVDs when someone liscenses this....Man, I hope it&#39;s not FUNimation...I will kill people if they liscense Naruto. They haven&#39;t done a great job (in my opinion) with the DB/DBZ/DBGT series DVD releases....

Can someone tell me how many chapters Shounen Jump has been putting into the stand-alone volumes of Naruto?

I was just thinking how everyone says that Naruto at least would be 160 eps or something like that... But i&#39;ve just realized something that would make this anime like 250 eps.... And that is that somehow there must always come up strongr ninjas, and that only 3 ninja clans have been involved in soemthing at this point in ep 71...

I don&#39;t think it would be fare to have like shit load of eps about only konoha and then ending the anime without even taking up the power of rain, earth and all the others. That wouldn&#39;t make any sence acording to me...

exactly, most likely Naruto will be a really long series since it is still damn popular in Japan, so there won&#39;t be an ending anytime soon.

It also seems rather popular in the States here, but Japan won&#39;t notice even if it becomes more popular than DBZ (somehow).

Naruto could develope to a very interesting story, it&#39;s far from over yet... even if naruto gets the title of hokage he could get kids with hinata and he could go the same way naruto did etc... there are many possibilities..
