Did they specifically compose this song for Naruto?

If they didn't it was a great pick for them to make as the second ending.

I know a lot of fans in the anime forum didn't like it, but they don't realize how much the lyrics to this song foreshadowed what is coming up.

"Light was born, then darkness was born, the two are one"

The manga chapter where Naruto and Gaara fight, is called Two Boys, the Light and the Dark after all.

I hope they play Harmonia during the conclusion of the battle when both of them are just beat.

Rythem, the group that did the song Harmonia, is rather new, it seems. Their first listed album was released April of 2003.

most songs are taken off the charts and then implanted in anime intros with a small change to the words

I think Rurouni Kenshin started the whole trend. An animation studio owned by Sony got the gig, so Sony just let them use their top artists from Sony Music on the show.

That show had some awesome opening and endings.

The opening song is Grate. and the Rain is the best ending.

I actually enjoyed the intro/outro songs from kenshin called "1/2" and 1/3, and also the latest outro from episode 88 and up or something.
