Swedish is one of the hardest language to learn in the world. Sweden has the hardest grammar (except for germans) in the world, which makes it difficult to fully learn Swedish... The only person i know from another contry who fully mastered Swedish was Cornelius Wresvik (bad spelling, my bad). He was dutch, but he could speak swedish better than most swedes can, and that my friends is a fact.

Edir: Oh, i seemed like someone was offended when i talked about America, so let me point out that i don&#39;t have anything against the people in the contry in general, it&#39;s just that you guys have the most abominable man in the world as president. And the fact that oil has control of the contry and nothing else.

I think when the lnaguages were formed, people didn&#39;t think about the rules much. The irritating people who are responsible for the language rules made them up. It&#39;s like they studied the vocabulary and sentences and then created rules for them. And without lives. (That&#39;s interesting. where can i download it?) And there are rules because about every language has verbs or pronouns or something. And then no one could learn other languages.

Yes, I know that finnish is one of the most hardest lanquages in the world (I doupt many finnish people know all the rules in our lanquage)... And the thing that makes swedish a hard lanquage is that (just like you said) it does not have rules for many things and you just have to learn them inside out... Also I have difficulties pronouncing swedish correctly, but thats mainly because I have grown acustomed to english pronouncing and swedish is pronounced more like finnish.

And as for Shinji Ikari, I think that Swedish is fairly hard to learn (Mainly because it has very few rules in it, just like the &quot;when do I use en and when ett&quot; problem that you mentioned) but I dont think its one of the most hardest lanquages in the world.

Many lanquage groups that Arctyc mentioned are a lot harder, for example sino-tibetan, Finno-Ugric and Altaic lanquages are way harder to learn properly...
