Itachi&#39;s appearance is not all that far off. He comes in around chapter 140 of the manga which is slightly after the Gaara/Naruto battle. And of course since the anime from now til then is based on the best parts of the manga the time will fly.

the fighting in this episode was so stupid. you just see black streaks flying into each other and then bouncing back. the artists evidently are unable to draw multiple things going on at once, very noticeable in naruto vs neji and this episode. and it only looked like there were a handful of sand nins there attacking instead of an army. lame episode.

nah enemy was attack at different places and its not like world war 2 with millions of men..

and the fighting... in the manga you saw it the same way as in the anime

overrated episode.... the one cool thing was when Gai did one of those Bruce Lee punched on a sound guy and went -HAAAAAAUAAUUAUAA- you know that hit when the the knuckles are facing up and towars the enemy and the hand shakes after the hit. i love that punch.

Episode 68 covers chapters 115 (all) and 116 (up to page 16)

all its missing is Sakura getting the mission - so its really a pretty fast episode -

I think that part of the problem is that all of us who read the manga have favorite scenes coming up (naruto vs Gaara, 3rd vs Orochi, Village War, Aftermath with Itachi) and we can&#39;t wait to see them animated.

Keep in mind that the war &quot;ends&quot; in chapter 138 - and the itachi storyline begins in 139 - there are 22 chapters to go - and at the rate they are being made into anime it should be between 11 and 15 chapters - depending on how much they expand the fights to show things better that only take up a single page or frame in the manga -

still - it should be an amazing 3-4 months of anime to watch ne?

for one all of it has been done in the manga, even though it might have been shorter in the manga since you could just flip through it =p
but even if it hadn&#39;t been made in the manga either it wouldn&#39;t have felt much like a filler.. it&#39;s all part of the storyline and fun

exactly what was going on there was irrelevant as far as that part of the story goes

Well, personally, that was one of my favourite episodes. Music was awesome. The short bursts of fighting ruled. The tension was sustained throughtout.

I still don&#39;t really think that this was filler. Just because something is dragged out doesn&#39;t make it filler. IMHO filler is when an entire episode has nothing to do with the progressing story. For example, Getbackers has a lot of filler episodes... entire episodes where they go to the hospital, or they go on a picnic and fight some monkeys - these stories have nothing to do with the main plot.

However, the staring and conversation in 66-67, however dragged, was still part of the story, therefore not filler IMO.

This series doesn&#39;t really have filler eps IMHO. If there&#39;s no action, there&#39;s explanation or story development instead. If someone wants to say examples of pure obvious filler then be my guest, but I can&#39;t think of any.

but it didnt fill me with a true sense of war. True, it&#39;s only the initial invasion, but like someone said we only ever saw a handfull of nins at a time, it lacked a certain impact. Even if they used the black streaks I still would have prefered to see hundreds of streaks rather than 5 or 6.

well i think the art in 68 wernt all that good so maybe thats why they looked shit but thats my opinion but none the less it was still a good episode. It did surprise me that Oro was Kazekage but was a lil confused of where the real kazekage is? any one wanna help me lol so im not confused no more. i havent read the manga so i dunno but i dun mind spoilers either.

The real kazekage was killed along time ago.This is all apart of Orochimaru&#39;s plan to use Sasuke&#39;s body.Oro&#39;s soul is forever binded to earth,so he is immortal.Even though Oro&#39;s list of jutsu&#39;s read as long as the hokage&#39;s,he still wants one more thing to be complete,the sharingan.He knows Sasuke iss weak because he wants power to kill his brother,so he is trying to take advantage of that.I won&#39;t get in depth with it unless you want to know.
The white Anbu member is just a regular Anbu.The black one you saw with the sand nin&#39;s by Kakashi and Gai is Kabuto.

cause that&#39;s just the chase
that wont take long to anime or anything
so basically my guess is ep69 will be an oro/3rd staredown + the summoning, and the start of the sasuke chase =p

The thing I see disparate between manga &amp; anime Tayuya is the turban-like wrap at the bottom of her hat. It is far too tall in the animized version.

The others seem to be done fairly well.
