Where is lee in 66-67

When the Genjutsu happens there was no sign of lee, even though it showed infront of kakashi and Gai which is right where lee was standing. I know he had to have fell asleep since he cant use that Kai move. But they totally missed him.

Lee is sleeping on the floor or something, and has rolled to a lower level.

And !!Shino!! is of course somewhere trailing Temari and Kankuro.

dont forget that all the contestants had a different place to watch from, so the place kankuro, temari, and shino are remain uneffected by the genjutsu, the same way sasuke and gaara are uneffected. So shino doesnt have to do anything to stay awake, though im sure if he had to his bugs would find a way.

And where has it been said in the anime ?
Don&#39;t remember seeing any of this, sorry.

Yup, they have just propably forgot Lee. The point is that he&#39;s sleeping somewhere in the audience. Well, I&#39;m also waiting to see what Shino will do. I&#39;m guite sure that he did dispel the genjutsu and is still awake, also he heard about the plan and is still in a good condition as he didn&#39;t have to fight Kankuro. Maybe we&#39;ll see him fighting in the next episode, I think he is stronger than it seems. We really haven&#39;t even seen him a dangerous life or death situation yet, as he dedeated the sound ninja guite easile. He propably has some pretty nice skills.

Even if it was used by the kages they wouldn&#39;t/shouldn&#39;t be affected by it.
Hokage&#39;s old but would have no problem in dispelling the genjutsu if it was used on him
