I saw 3 things that made me crackup/wonder etc

1) When Kabuto made Kiba faint... why did his dog faint also??

2) Sasuke runs gay!

3) The whole "Hokage" moment cracked me up
They turned their heads all super slow! hahahaha

I think that Kakashi and Gai were responsible for the most joyful experience, but the joke was old, but I guess Gai never gets old. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/cool.gif
The chidori was neat, but they all were saying that it's an awesome technicue. But Seeing it I was kinda dissapointed. I took so long and didn't do anything effective.

And the most exciting thing there was the !!Kazekage!! watching the battle and´after that Hokage with quite "intensity."

I also think that it's quite impressive of Gaara to withstand the power of chidori.
Of course the sandprotection must have helped him, but still it packed quite a puch. Even Haku died http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/sad.gif in an instant.
And I also think that when Gaara realized that the warm thing was his own blood was somehow very thrilling. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/mf_laughbounce.gif

Yes I know that the sandball is hard as hell. After all all of Sasuke&#39;s other puches were deflected and his knuckles even started bleeding. So I know.

The Chidori wasn&#39;t like dramatic. Atleast to me.
I did mention that it was QUITE IMPRESSIVE from Gaara to withstand the power of chidori.

It&#39;s a cool techicue when done by Kakashi. Not Sasuke.

I didn&#39;t understand this... the monster inside the shell who&#39;s rm came out when Sasuke pulled his arm back out of the shell... why didnt we see him when we saw Gaara find out he was bleeding? And that eye above the sand ball dissapeared mysteriously too.

One thing that was kinda getting old was even Gai saying, &#39;So this is the power of the Uchiha&#39;... I mean come on surely he has seen other Uchiha in his lifetime...... as for their ability he has fought Kakashi as well&#33; Well maybe Kakashi didn&#39;t have the sharingan then.

As for the summoning circle, I think they were summoning snakes, as can be sene in the preview for the next ep when many snakes jump over the stadium wall.

As for Hokage and Kazekage shooting off like bullets, that smoke and sound was due to that grenade thing that sand nin had just activated in his hand.

Also, it seems Gaara has about the same skill as Naruto without Kyuubi, since he can only do desert graveyard and desert coffin, and the rest is done by the demon such as the sand Bunshin and shield. OK so he has the armour by himself but he aint much different than Naruto without Kyuubi.

It was pretty neat seeing those ANBU jump into action... though what they were jumping for left me wondering http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/huh.gif ......

I got a feeling Baki is gonna get killed. Also, that Shino is gonna take out Kankuro and Temari by himself, since he now seems to be aware of their plan. In the next few eps I think we are gonna see (obviously) Hokage and Kazekage fight but I think Kazekage is going to be a less of a match for Hokage than most of us thought before, since in the next ep Hokage seems pretty relaxed while Kazekage is holding a Kunai to his throat.

It seems Genma is going to fight Baki for now, with the ANBU squads going after the two Kazekage guards.... that leaves Kakashi and Gai free... Kakashi might go after Kabuto so....... what is Gai going to do...?

Yes that is the case. She just noticed that there was a genjutsu going on and she just happened to know how to make dispell (KAI wasn&#39;t it?).
Nothing extraordinary in that.

And she isn&#39;t of course smarter than you Nara. (obviously)

Not necessarily, since there are sound nins present Orochimaru could have trained them in how to summon snakes.

I was just thinking. that maybe all the sound nins are second rate nins anyway.... since sound is newly created it wouldn&#39;t have had time to train up shinobi to Jounin level... and somehow I don&#39;t think all the Jounin missing nin&#39;s of the other villages would wind up in the sound village...... so who thinks they are gonna get slaughtered?

Isn&#39;t Genma only a Chuunin? I don&#39;t think he&#39;d be much of a match for Baki...remember, Baki made short work of Hayate, and Genma and Hayate seem to be much on the same level as far as I can infer. This episode was indeed painfully slow, especially for those of us who read the manga...seems like they added too much filler, but I guess they wanted to set up the ep so that the &quot;plan&quot; came into action at the very end. The fight was definitely not wall-to-wall action, but it was fun to see Gaara&#39;a true potential begin to be unveiled. That eye&#33; haha But that being said, two weeks is waaaaaaay too long to see the next episode in action. I&#39;m SO glad that something is actually happening other than Chuunin exam battles...

*edit* I was just looking at that picture of Kakashi asleep in his bed with his three man team from when he was a kid above him. Is that Genma on the left with the straw hanging out of his mouth? If so, then I guess Genma is a jounin....

I have to say I was disappointed with this episode. There was too much explanation of the chidori and not enough action. I also wondered why Akamaru fainted when Kabuto hit Kiba. I was hoping that this would be more of a one on one match and not just a precursor to the war, but oh well. On a positive note, I&#39;m very excited about the upcoming war.

the only thing that pisses me off is that lee takes the shaft. sasuke shouldnt have gotten that fast in one months time. really discredits lee and all of his hard work, I honostly think that the author made a sub-character **rock lee** too bad ass so he had to make up for his error........=D.

this episode was really good but what pissed me off was sasuke&#39;s weird kind of run where he looked way too upright. also shikamaru was drawn as kind of chubby. (i thouhgt maybe the artists wanted to show he was bruised and puffy)

the reason we have to wait two weeks is b/c there will be a special prince of tennis episode that i guess will take naruto&#39;s time as well.

SASUKE IS THE SH*T&#33; When he used Chidori, I almost did wet my pants (lol @ Kakashi). This was the best episode to date, and to Sasuke fans, definitely stacks up to (and destroys) episode 30 where Sasuke fought Orochimaru, using Dragon Fire. When I was watching what was going to happen next episode, and found out we have to wait 2 weeks, I punched a small hole in the wall adjacent to my computer desk&#33; No joke, there is now a hole in my wall&#33; It had better be a good one, us having to wait 2 weeks and all&#33; I don&#39;t read ahead in the mangas, but I have a funny feeling that Naruto is going to be summoning Gamabunta soon&#33;

Looved the ep actually.. Man finaly we got to see alittle what the hell gaara is, he&#39;s twisted that boy hehehe.. And we got to see that Gaara actually has more than the 2 jutsus seen so far.. well 3 including the eye too..

DB_Hunter I very much doubt that Shukaku is controlling alot more than just the sand shiled. Im pretty sure Gaara managed the Suna bunshin and all the otherstuff aswell except the shiled..

And Gaara seemed to take it alittle more easy this time when Sasuke started to use fast Lee taijutsu.. the sand didnt try to block and catch the opponent far away from Gaara&#39;s body so it saved Gaaras fall alot of times when he got punched/kicked back.. Didnt happen in Lee fight except with the ura renge..

I do hope the other Gaara comes out for real, loved the shit in pants look on Sasuke when the evil eye looked at him http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Really liked that they got the better team to animate this episode, cause Sasuke looked alot better in this one.. Didnt look at all that cocky and im all that this time.. He managed pretty good.
The Chidori was a nice surprise aswell as Gaara beeing able to take the hit and Sasuke also released one more chakara burst when his hand got stuck too..

that ep was pretty good...not GREAT, but still good. i think alot of ppl (including myself) were expecting the rock lee type fight, expecially after all the training and waiting, and since it all of a sudden got interupted, some ppl didnt find it as good as it could&#39;ve been......its like ur nearing orgasm and *BAM* u have to wait to week to finish it (ok, bad example http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/tongue.gif)

as for the mommy thing, i think mayb......well when we first learn about gaara&#39;s past (in the hospital i htink) he says that he killed his mother when he was born (as in, she died giving birth, i think) and that was partly due to the demon that was implanted in him......so mayb he think his mother is part of him/the demon, and the demon is his mother. we are talking about the mind of a psychopath after all.....u never know what they&#39;re like.

kakshi&#39;s gonna fight kabuto most likely, temari and kankaro (if they dont have some predefined part to play) will probably face off aganist shino and shika. sasuke will obviously keep fighting gaara (btw how come gaara and sasuke didn&#39;t faint as well? or did they?). that just leaves neji....i really hope we see him do something. i&#39;d like to c what he can do with his new outlook on life/destiny.

theres still the matter of gai.....he&#39;ll probably go along with the anbu squads or face one of kazekage&#39;s guards. it seems the only ppl awake now are ALL jounin elites (except sakura) so the next few eps are gonna b some crazy ass battles. the sound nins are elite chuunins at best, so they&#39;ll b slaughtered, but the sand nins will b tough apponents.

i wonder when jiraya and oro will show up. hopefully they&#39;ll go at it as well, to give us another awsome fight (though i doubt we&#39;d b that lucky)

Hope Sasuke and Gaara keeps on fighting in the war or that someone even stronger comes arround to let Gaara go all out. That will probably more accurate. Was a good ep, but.. Maybe I just had my expectations too high. Not as much action as I thought there should have been and a lil too much (in some cases repetetive) crowd reaction.

Gaara is talking to his mother.. cause she was sacrificed upon his birth to the sand spirit that is posessed in him. Basically SHE is the sand spirit. And she&#39;s trying to take over Gaara to do his dirty work for him if he doesn&#39;t do it well enough himself. That&#39;s how I see it anyway. I think the whole psychopath role was really well done.

Oh yeah and there was music during the Chidori, just wasn&#39;t the usual music. A lil hard to hear over Chidori&#39;s sounds, but it&#39;s there.

This is the point... the Sharingan only allows you to SEE what&#39;s going on, getting your body used to it is another matter. Lee&#39;s Taijitsu puts stress on the body, to which his muscles have matured and grown used to to. Seeing is one thing, executing is another. With Jutsu it&#39;s another story, since jutsu are about channelling chakra in the right amount and performing the correct hand seals.

Just because Lee idolizes Gai-sensei and copied his look doesn&#39;t mean that they have the same jutsu abilities. I&#39;m sure Gai-sensei can do the fast taijutsu like Lee, but as he can perform nin and genjutsus as well, he is almost certainly a force to be reckoned with. We have seen a lot of what Kakashi can do (which is extremely cool) but very little (if any, we know he can stop Gaara dead in his tracks) of what Gai-sensei can do. Don&#39;t underestimate Gai because he is a super-nerd&#33;

Yeh, not as good as what i was expecting.
Sasuke has gotten better, but only thanks to Lee. If it wasn&#39;t for Lee&#39;s style, he wouldnt hav even made it past the prelims, let alone take on Gaara. Sad really, seeing as it took Lee a lot of time and dedication to get to where he is now.
It&#39;s like he uses Lee to clear the path for him, then he walks it.

I liked this episode (or better these episodes) guite much, even I think I&#39;ve seen better. Hmm, some people have also noticed that Sasuke running looks strange. Well, I also noticed it, but he doesn&#39;t run the same way all the time. In my opinion his running looked strtange only one time. Someone noticed that when Kiba fainted, his dog Akamaru fainted too. I didn&#39;t notice it myself, but that seems to be guite strange. I think in the next episodes there is going to be a lot more action, so maybe those episodes will be fun, if the fighting just will be animated well enough. After all it was a good episode, even I expected more from the fight between Gaara and Sasuke.

Two of the jounins that they didn&#39;t show reacting to Kabuto&#39;s genjitsu were Asuma and Kurenai. It seems that they&#39;d only show so many (a certain number of people) dispelling the genjitsu so it&#39;s not repetitive. I think we can assume that they dispelled it for themselves too, but does this mean that they&#39;re not going to be shown much in the following episodes? Everyone here is talking about Gai and the others mentioned in the earlier posts, but nobody really goes beyond that. Someone mentioned Neji, and a few thought of Iruka, but all of this (other stuff) makes me wonder if it&#39;s actually manga people &quot;molding&quot; anime watchers to theorize in the eventual &quot;correct&quot; direction.

This is not to discount people who are good at picking up the foreshadowing hints, of course.

Anyway, about the episode... I was disappointed about halfway through when i realized that Sasuke&#39;s chidori wasn&#39;t going to seriously damage (or kill&#33;) Gaara. It seems like every time they super-hype up something, they want to you expect it to be completely effective but then it ends up not working. But besides that, the episode was nearly throughly enjoyable http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/smile.gif Gai&#39;s old humor is still funny... The great anticipation of what he&#39;s going to do just cracks me up ^^

Well in the upcoming war I forgot about the other sub-character Jounins, namely Kurenai and Asuma... wonder what they are gonna do... probably the main fighting with the Sand and Sound nins. And Ebisu has been mentioned in the other thread... if he comes in I don&#39;t know why but becuase he has been such a moron up till know I got a feeling he&#39;s gonna absolutly own anyone he fights from the attacking sound or sand nins...

And as for the people saying that Naruto is going to summon Gamabunta to fight the snake summons, what about Gaara&#39;s demon? He doesn&#39;t seem to be so small himself after all, his arm was pretty big. Also, it may be that Naruto summons a huge frog but not GamaBunta... and GB is left for some uber battle at the end.

Yea I think it was pretty crap the way Sasuke is almost as fast as Lee now in just one month... because Lee&#39;s Taijitsu depends on loads of training... it doesn&#39;t matter if you are an elite with a Sharingan or whatnot it&#39;s just not realistic even for anime standards to be that strong...

This is the first time I&#39;m saying it but it&#39;s reminding me of DBZ (I loved that show btw) when they made it look stupid byt having Goten and Trunks go Super Saiyan and have uber powers as kids and then fuse and become Gotenks and take on the one of the most powerful fighters in the universe... that was stupid.

Thats the whole point. Sasuke is a Genius. Without his Sharigan that wouldn&#39;t have happened. Lee even states that in the episode. Kakashi having a sharigan too; he was the perfect teacher. All Sasuke had to do was witness it then teach his body to perform at the same speed..... Plus when you think about it Naruto took 2 seconds to put his hands together and draw some Kybui power, and all the sudden he’s faster then Neji. So why can&#39;t Sasuke put a solid month of just speed/taijutsu training to work and become almost as fast as lee. A plus note for the die hard lee fans Sasuke still didn&#39;t have Lees endurance or the ability to open gates.





Also a side question do you think Gaara gets instant healing from his demon like Naruto?

I dont think Naruto needs Gamabunta to fight with Sasuke.. I think Sasuke would beat the hell out of Naruto for a while just like in every fight he&#39;s been in. But in the end Naruto is starting to use his kage bunshin pretty whitty, he made the naruto rendan thing vs Kiba, and he used it to not fall off gamabuntas head, he used it smart in the forests last battle to impersonate all the others in the team, and he used it pretty smart vs Neji too.

Naruto is a dumb-smart fighter and he never gives up.. err well if he dies maby, and Naruto wont run out of chakara before Sasuke either. And he got the last super defence/offence he could get into non controllable Kyuubi mode like vs Haku.

Chidori would hardly have any effect on Gamabunta, because it can only go as far as the user&#39;s arm..... so for someone like GB that wouldn&#39;t even get through his fat layer below his skin.

Well it&#39;s true it is about beeing strong nothing else..

But it is still unfair looking from Lee&#39;s perspective. But Sasuke is an Uchiha and a Genious so thats always unfair in the real world to.. you can sit in school with a math problem for hours and hours and in comes a bright kid or someone who fids math easy and solves it in 1 sec.

Sasuke isnt as fast or a good as Lee is yet.. They say that it will affect his body using it for a long time.. thats where the differerance is..

He still can&#39;t beat Rock Lee, but he seems to be giving Gaara a kicking because he knows how to do Jutsu. Chidori would be useless against Lee is Lee opened his gates again... he would just dodge it. I would say though that Sasuke MAY be the best all round fighter now, though he isn&#39;t used to the taijitsu yet and he runs out of breath quite quickly, whereas Naruto, even though it has yet to be seen if his Kyuubi speed is as fast as Sasuke/Lee&#39;s speed, does not run out of breath because he uses chakra to give him that speed.

It&#39;s their techniques that makes the different chars cool.. Everyone is cool in their own way.. You either like it or you dont.. All Genins in the show are kids.. everyone of them will evolve eventually and become probably aloot stronger/faster/smarter and whatnot during the series Im pretty sure of it..

Just look at Naruto. Sasuke is still superior to Naruto as a Shinobi without his Sharingan activated.. But just as Lee, Naruto works pretty hard and dont give up. So Naruto will probably become a pretty decent shinobi when he grows some more.. He still has a pretty awsome amount of his own chakara.

I think you are missing the point of Naruto learning to control Kyubi. That&#39;s a MAJOR accomplishment and it does show that Naruto is strong&#33; I don&#39;t see why you should complain about Kyubi, frist off, remember that Neji WOULD have beaten Naruto if Naruto had not used Shadow Replication and dug underground, leaving a replication behind to trick Neji into thinking he won. So if Naruto hadn&#39;t been clever like he is in most of the episodes, he would have lost, even with Kyubi&#39;s power.

Second off, I agree, Sasuke is an awesome character and he kicks rear. I&#39;m Pro-Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and just about everyone else except the villians. Both Sasuke and Naruto have their strengths, IMO, Sasuke is stronger right now, but I could be wrong. Personally I agree that it&#39;s unfair to complain about Sasuke so much, considering he took a major beating from Oro(which at that time, Naruto was stronger). In any case, I hope it comes to a point where Naruot will fight Sasuke, but until then, I&#39;d like to see them work together again like they did against Zabuza.

After he got mad when his teacher was about to die he broke the seal on his body. This cause naruto&#39;s chakra to flow regularly. Because the seal seal kyubi&#39;s chakra and cause naruto&#39;s chakra to not flow right so he couldn&#39;t really control it. Lol thats all i have to say. Even without kyubi naruto still learns hot moves in the future.

dont wanna turn this into an anti-sasuke thingie, but...

The use of sharingan is to copy stuff, of course..but something thats wierd is he trained sasuke in taijutsu to give him awesome speed for the chidori (as Gai/kakashi say). Why would you have to learn taijutsu specifically to increase your speed? 0-o...taijutsu is martial arts, hand to hand combat, defending yourself with fists/feet/etc...increasing your speed is completely different really. Are Track runners martial artists? also...Sasuke didnt need to use any of his taijutsu in the beginning; he was just showing off his stolen skills and being his usual arragont bee-atchy self. He could have used chidori from the beginning, or even some other jutsus..he knew Taijutsu alone couldnt defeat Gaara, so whats the use on pounding on him for a bit? all it accomplished was him looking good and Lee feeling like crap. But I guess he`s only doing whats in his nature &gt;_&gt;

Ok as you all saw it, he was ALMOST as fast as lee without his weights...
BUT his body won&#39;t allow him to use that very long...Lee can do it without being tired, since he trained so much, and always wear weights&#33;
I&#39;ll also add that Rock Lee can open 5 gates, which makes him even faster and stronger and sasuke cannot.
I think rock lee still kicks ass and he would wipe sasuke&#39;s ass...
Well of course sasuke has other jutsus but i don&#39;t think he&#39;d be fast enough to use them against lee.
Gaara was the worst possible matchup for Lee, he would have pwned Neji, Shikamaru, Temari, kankuro, naruto, Shino and well every other genin.
Well of course if you don&#39;t think about kyubi, with it naruto really kicks ass ^^

first, the animation of 66-67 was MUCH better than 65...and it was very close to the animation of the rock lee vs gaara eps...

and i dont know why people would think just because sasuke has the sharingan that he is cheap, or if naruto uses kyubi&#39;s chakra hes not that strong...seriously

they had to learn to use and control such horrific (in potential) powers...i mean...not everyone has the courage to ask the demon fox to lend him his powers, right?

as for sasuke, his sharigan and abilites are very strong in the sense that not only does he have potential to become very strong, it also requires him to train and practice very to hard to master them

(notice he only has 2 things in each eye when there should be 3)

as for the kyubi...

hes stuck inside naruto because of the seal, and he cannot get out...

so while hes at it, he might as well make sure his owner can fight and kill his oppoent, or else he dies too...

kyubi doesnt want to die, so he has to help naruto...

its a lose-lose situation for him really.

Hmm.. Harageki. Sure the copying of Lee&#39;s moves can be seen as &quot;dumb/lame&quot; whatever, and you said that maby he is just doing what&#39;s in his nature to do..

I think Sasuke&#39;s use of taijutsu was a smart move.. Cause Lee, Kakashi, Gai, Sasuke all the others including us have no clue to how strong Gaara is actually or what it is that he can do.. The Lee fight seemed to be a pretty one way fight with Lee breaking through the sand shield and actually touch Gaara.. That had never ever happened before.

So I think Kakashi saw something in that way of fighting casue Sasuke is more &quot;talanted&quot; than Lee is in terms of Jutsu use and all that kinds of stuff.. The Speed can overcome Gaaras sand shield. But the thing is I have no clue if this was intentional or not but Gaaras sand didnt act the same way as it did vs Lee.. Gaara had allready seen that kind of fighting so the speed can also be seen as a bad but very much required move.

The sand seemed to keep pretty close to Gaara and damped Gaaras fall when he got kicked back and punched and all that. So in the end Sasuke had to use Chidori.. Might have been a smart move if he used it more wisely.. Wich I belive was the intention from the beginning, to overcome the sand with the speed and finnish with chidori. I belive Sasuke had to use that kind of speed to even be able to do even the slightest.. That Speed seems to be the only weakness we have seen so far.. And I think that was what Kakashi had in mind to be able to defeat the Gaara we have seen so far atleast.

But I dont think whatever Sasuke and Kakashi would have tried during that fight Sasuke wouldnt have won anyway.. That is atleast what I think.

So dispite how lame ppl might think Sasuke and the &quot;stealing&quot; of Lee&#39;s moves are, it was probably the only way to do it.. And sometimes you need to use things that might seem unfair to be able to win.

Yeah, Lee can&#39;t fight anymore, so I am sure he was kind of glad to see his moves live on in a way through Sasuke.

Just think how versatile Sasuke would be if he was able to watch the Preliminary fights&#33; He could have copied a lot of techniques there.

the animation was good although when sasuke was running 2 times it looked crap ( the one where he&#39;s running towards the camera and another one )

This is a common occurance. For example remember how Naruto couldn&#39;t use his Kyuubi powers unless he was totally drained of chakra? Now let&#39;s see, what technique could we give Naruto&#39;s opponent, Neji, that would do that? 64-hands of hakke perhaps?

Of course that is not the only thing these characters do. It adds flavor to a would-be stale story if it was only about the main cast, and that is pretty much the point of it all - to keep it interesting.

P.S. Lee was a genius - he was a genius of hard work remember? Also he had the ability to open more gates than a normal person would.
