Which one of his students does Kakashi favor?

I say that Kakashi favors Sasuke the most. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/dry.gif I havent read the manga and there might be a reason or something but so far, it seems like Kakashi likes Sasuke over Sakura/Naruto.

After the preliminaries, we know that Kakashi trained Sasuke and let the Eibu (cant spell ><) guy train Naruto. I doubt Eibu could have taught Naruto much ( I highly doubt he could have taught Naruto what Jiraya did) and then Neji would have probably crushed Naruto. Kakashi knew how strong Neji was from watching the prelim fight and he probably knew Naruto had no chance against him. However...he still decides to help Sasuke rather than help Naruto. (as for Sakura...he's probably given up hope on her...)

So if Jiraya wasnt there...Naruto probably would have gotten beat ( if his kyubi doesnt take over him)

Kakashi likes them all the same.

He trained Sasuke because they are the same type of ninja. You will find out in 66-67 what I mean by that.

The reason he had Ebisu train Naruto was because Ebisu was an expert in controlling Chakra. Something that Naruto needed to study more than what Kakashi taugh Sasuke. Again...see episode 66-67 to see what was taugh, but hell it was in the preview last ep.

He likes Naruto because in theory he is the son of his sensei.

He likes Sasuke because in theory he has his fathers(or other relatives) Sharingan.

He likes Sakura because she is the closest thing he has to a little sister.

I don't think he plays favorites at all. Perhaps he and Jiraiya had it all planned out this way.

i dont think kakashi is the kinda guy to pick a favourite, and the only reason he chose sasuke over naruto was because he could train sasuke a lot betr than any1 else could. kakashi would probably train naruto with exactly the same technique as ebisu, so he saw no harm in letting ebisu taking over the reigns. i presume he likes different things in each character, but i dont think he has a favourite.

I&#39;ve generally always sensed Kakashi sort of leaning towards/favoring Sasuke in most areas. Especially now that all this has been going on, it seems pretty clear that he favors Sasuke.
Of course, you have one side where you have to say that Sasuke really needed Kakashi, and it was easier since they were both the same &quot;type&quot;, but ..

Thinking about it, Ebisu may be an &quot;Elite Teacher&quot;, but looking at him, I don&#39;t think he ever could have prepared Naruto for what he needed to do in the tournament - and I think Kakashi knew that.
I always just took that as Kakashi saying he cared more about what was going to happen with Sasuke than with Naruto.

But then .. maybe this is Kakashi&#39;s way of saying that Sasuke needs more help, because he has a weaker will? Naruto doesn&#39;t need Kakashi&#39;s help, because he has a stronger will and can get through more? Hm .. ^^

Ebisu is probably the least effective teacher for the tournament... chackra control is important to Sakura, cuz she needs every bit she can. The main thing Naruto needed to the 3rd exam was something that can let him counter his suprior enemies, which is exactly what Jiraya gave him...

think of it like this, let&#39;s say Naruto had the chackra control of Sasuke (even Sakura), what good would it do to him against Neji? it might help him to avoid being hit once or twice, but he&#39;ll just be jumping around and trying to buy time while Neji is on the offensive with his 360* sight...

Sasuke, well if you guys don&#39;t know why he picked sasuke instead of Naruto, Is because the the curse seal, Kakashi needed to train sasuke to handle the curse and train him accordingly. (This is from infering). Unless you have watched eps. 66-67. I won&#39;t tell you how this goes. But Naruto Ends up finding a &quot;Elite&quot; Teacher. Which seemed like he knowed about the Kyubi seal and about how it&#39;s charka is affecting Naruto&#39;s Charka. Seemed that watned to train naruto to make his charka balanced. But if naruto didnt meet Jiriya (I don&#39;t care how you spell it..close enough) His 5 seals wouldn&#39;t have been unsealed. So if you think about it, Either way Naruto Would have been trained to use his powers accordingly. Either by balancing Charka Control, or making naruto be able to use his enormous charka/stamina to his advantage.

Plus to my thinking Kakashi probably told Closet-Pervert all about the seal and how naruto fights and his disadvantages, Kakashi is that careless and wouldn&#39;t let his teamates/friends down,(Stated earlier in the anime, not directly given). As stated by many, Dont think Kakashi favours anyone over another.. Kakashi was best suited to train with Sasuke, and he said Ebisu was better to train Naruto than himself.. Now that might have been wrong but I think Ebisu could probably have teached Naruto some good stuff too.. But Jiraya training Naruto is the best thing for Naruto just like Kakashi is the best that can happen for Sasuke.. They both have Sharingan. Kakashi is more experienced with it and can teach Sasuke alot about how to use it and so on, he knows the limits of it&#39;s use and all that, Jiraya for instance might know alot about the Sharingan theoreticly but he cant show Sasuke how to use it..
And Sakura isnt in the picture anyway at this moment.. Maby she whould have been trained by Kurenai or Iruka or something if she was in the final fights.

seriously, people think that because kakashi teaches sasgay chidori and said that &#39;he&#39;s my type&#39; doesn&#39;t mean that he favors sasgay more than the other 2.

reasons:

1. if he didn&#39;t focus on sasgay, he would be dead. no way in bloody hell would be came close to injuring gaara.

2. &#39; he&#39;s my type&#39; cause they both have the sharingan.

you guys all know its sasuke he favors...if not favor, then its sasuke is the guy he can relate to most, as they are very similar in styles of fighting.

I think he favors Naruto the most, but teaches Sasuke more just because he&#39;s very similiar to him. Who cares about Sakura, she&#39;s a girl and her place is in the kitchen.
