I have to say that in my opinion it was the fighting and the other stuff in the Zabuza and Haku episodes, specially the episode where Haku and Zabuza died, it was somehow so sad. Eh, this topic is quite old, but I just love this scene:

During the second stage of the chuunin exam, gaara meets up with some no-name nins (from hidden valley of rain). One of the dumb no-names started running his mouth and said something along the lines of "Ha! I'll make it rain needles!" since he had some umbrellas that apparently shot needles out of them.

Then, Gaara, in his typical awesomeness, says, "A rain of needles eh? Then I guess I'll...Make it rain blood."

The no-name did his pansy attack thing, and gaara didn't even move (and of course didn't get hit). He then performed the Desert Graveyard on the dude, then goes and PICKS UP ONE OF THE UMBRELLAS, and literally makes it rain blood with his desert coffin.

Maybe I am just twisted or something, but that made Gaara my absolute favorite character forever.

I think rox scene might have the upper hand in this one at the moment.

Well, according to that logic, Naruto gets his ass beat in every single fight he goes into. Naruto fights seem to go like this:

1.Naruto runs directly at the opponent with his fist raised high.
2. Naruto gets his ass whooped.
3. He falls to the ground and stays there for a while.
4. He gets up, and says, "ARG! Don't underestimate me!!!!"
5. Repeat 1-4 at least 20 times
6. Finally, while in a highly emotional state, he decides (or accidentally) whips out the kyubi shiznit, and lands a punch or two which ends it.

You need to look at the outcome of a fight to judge who got beat up. The end of the lee vs. gaara fight was:

Gaara came out with no real visible injuries.
Lee was unconscious, with a severely injured arm and leg.

Thing is, i look at that..
U remember Temari and Kankouro saying that no one even hurt Gaara in any fight while Lee got his ass kicked by Neji in several trainings..
So the fact that Gaara got a lot of punches and kicks (although from the outside he didnt look that way) means a lot more then Lee getting his arm and leg crushed.

I don't say Gaara got beaten, i'm saying he got his ass whooped because he didn't expect anyone to break through his defences

Hoy, my favorite scence was during the Chunnin exam series. When all the rookies had first gathered and they saw all the ninjas from the other villages. Sakura thought Naruto was scared and was trying to comfort him, but he was excited and told everyone who he was and that he wasn't going to lose to any of them.

That was a good scene....

For some reason I really like the scene where Shikamaru stays behind to delay the pursuing nins while Naruto and Sakura go after Sasuke and Gaara. He knows his chances are poor, and then he finds out about the one ninja he missed and knows he's about to die.... And he just calmly looks up at the sky and thinks about the life he won't get to live......... And Asuma shows up and saves him.

Also when Lee shows up with that squirrel on his shoulder. One of the best entrances ever.

Fav. scenes has to be with Gai and Kakashi... always ending with kakashi either ignoring or "out-hipping" Gai. (Also loved that scene where Kakashi was comparing Lee to Gai and Gai turns around with a big smile and thumbs up with the shining teeth then Kakashi gets a sweatdrop.)

Episode 80 where Naruto and Gaara lie defeated and the sad music is turned on and the flashbacks are rolling. It reminded me of my second most favorised scene, being the sad part of the Haku Zabuza era.

I also love the scene in Jump Festa 2004 where Naruto rises from the rocks and tells the exninja about strength and courage, where the kuybi chakra flames up and he "flies" across the lake and attacks. I was like THIS IS THE TRUE NARUTO SHIT!! that episode reminded me of why Im watching Naruto.

Well, I look at the gourde gaara's trump card. In any situation that would have arised where gaara might lose his life, such as gaara getting wasted by the primary lotus, that's when he'd pull out the trump card. So, it was well planned. There was a time I agreed with you though. Remember when Lee tried to do the secondary lotus? What made me think gaara lucked out at the time, was when lee flinched while doing it. If he hadn't flinched, gaara would have had to use the gourde. My logic was, if gaara was to use the gourde and lee could see it, then maybe lee could have figured a way around it for the primary lotus. However, the sasuke/naruto vs. gaara fight, gaara would have just transformed and then rock would probably have lost, because he could only sustain the effort for so long with the primary lotus. I don't think he'd have time to beat gaara with it.

Ya I know Uchiha, but I was saying that Lee did stand a chance at first because Gaara underestimated him and didn't put up the real ultimate defense in the first place I also think he could have simply beat Gaara by not going with the lotus and just keep beating him to a pulp with simple kicks and punches until he passed out from the pain.

You might watch Dragon Ball Z but I think that was not what Naruto is about but rather I would say for the fighting aspect of the series the chuunin exams were more along the lines of what I expect because those fights were much more interesting than powerup attack get beat, powerup some more win imo(though Lee and Naruto did this a little though I thought it was totaly unlike DBZ fighting).

My favorite scene would've been Hinata kicking Neji's butt. I was so waiting for her to just go off and go all insane like and kick his ass. (In the 40-50 episodes)

I just loved the part where Konohamaru (mind the spell) went to attack the 3rd in some early episodes. They had the music ready as if something big was going to happen then BAM he fell flat on his ass.

- when naruto summoned the kyubi's chakra during the fight w/ neji and everyone was shocked (i love to see ppl's reaction to naruto's improvement. GO NARUTO!!)
- when masamune mentioned the chidori scene, i remembered how much i laughed when i watched it
- when rock lee dropped his weights and kakashi told gai that it was too much
- it's not a cool scene but a cute scene. neji's flashback when he was 4 and hinata was 3 and he told his father that hinata was cute.
- the 1st chunnin exam when everyone was cheating like crazy and naruto wrote nothing. GO NARUTO!!
- the scene when naruto was fighting gaara. sasuke told naruto to stop and that he has to protect his "close friends" no matter what and naruto was like "close friends..." and get really emotional. sometimes, sasuke is a really good friends. oh yea!! during the haku battle and naruto ask sasuke why he saved him and sasuke said " i dont' know why, my body moved on its own" and i really like sasuke then.

well the scene that really changed my opinion about Naruto being the main charector which funny enough became my fav scene, becasue when i 1st started i thought saskue was a way better charector than Naruto...
but the scene when they go on the mist quest ep8 or so and when zabuza captues kakashi in that water prison and they have to fight the water clone, and on the verge of freeking out and run away Naruto remembers his promise to never run again and comes up with the plan to free kakashi man that scene changed my opion for ever since then i respected Naruto and really believes that he has earned the right to be the main charector!!!
