I wouldn't be too surprised either. After all, they certainly don't seem to worry about maintaing a constant level of quality in the anime. It makes me think that the anime isn't doing so hot in Japan.

Which anime is the most successed on TV Tokyo then?

I think it all depends on how long the manga will be...

1. If the manga makes a timejump and goes on for another 20 book, then it's most unlikely the they will finish the anime. Maybe stop on TV Tokyo at the time jump and the rest being released on DVD or something...

2. The manga ends in a short time future, then they might do the entire anime as well.

i hope they continue naruto as long as inuyasha which is over a hundred episode! but i really doubt though.....

Naruto is hot in Japan. Its one of the biggest animes on air,and all of its games are big sellers in Japan. It's nothing short of a cash crop.

its true that many animes ends before the manga ends. but i think naruto will keep going until its finished. if not for the reason that kishimoto is a big dbz fan(that series ran to the point the manga ended) then for some other reason. the most likely reason is money. if the show keeps being hot in japan then they will milk it on every possible yen they can get. thats busniess(it that correct spelling?)

my opnion is that naruto is too good to end before the manga ends. but im concerned about the qaulity of the animation in ep 64 and 65.

it's gonna be just like berserk. the anime has to stop at a certain point.

Berserk stopped because the anime caught up to the manga.
If the same happens with Naruto, it'll most likely stop too. However: that will take a loooong time, they'll need like 70 episodes to catch up to where the manga is right now and by that time there will be a lot more manga.

It's still possible they will stop the show if it's not popular enough in Japan anymore though.

Also in the long run the anime might catch up. I really don't see Naruto ending under 10 more volumes. Unless it's some sort of crappy makeshift ending because Naruto isn't popular anymore.

but what happens if the anime does get replaced by another anime as popularity. do they still make it but it isnt shown on japan's bets show hour. right now naruto has a prime spot on television. i pray this anime goes on till the manga stops.

if dbz went on and so did pokemon and so did digimon and so did inuyasha and so did sailor moon and all those other animes that went on for ever like ranma 1/2 then i think naruto deserves the right to be completed compltely.

i honestly don't think comparing naruto's popularity with dbz's or pokemon's is fair. dbz and pokemon are WORLDWIDE, literally...there isn't one person who doesn't know who goku is or what a pokemon is. but i can't say the same thing for naruto.

Well the only reason pokemon and DBZ are worldwide is because of their games and the anime. Naruto hasn't been released overseas so we can't assume anything about it's future popularity. Who knows maybe 2-3 years from noe you'll see kids walking down the street shouting "Kage Bunshin". http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

it'll take another 2 or 3 years for a company to even dub a short part of it, if its licensed by an english company you wont be seeing it outside of japan for about another 2 years at least

yeah the latest animations REALLY SUCK
they made sasgay look even sasgayer in the outfit he was wearing

has anyone else realizes almost noone in naruto have clothes that actually fit their body? most of the clothes look very "flat" and seem to be both tight and too big at the same time

basically they just dont have any talent at all

oh well
its still a bit fun to watch the anime though, even though the manga drawings are alot better, so i hope they dont discontinue it

Yeah, also, instead of "Kage Bunshin" those kids would be shouting "Art of the doppleganger!" or something stupid like that.

DB/DBZ/DBGT together have about 500 eps and 20 + movies/specials.
Actually it's:
DB-153
DBZ-291
DBGT-64
Movies/specials-22
Sorry, I tend to be anal about some things.

From what I have heard, the mangaka of Hellsing (his name escapes me at the moment) said that he would give the OK for another season of Hellsing as soon as he was finished with the manga.
