running naruto on windows media player

for episodes [anbu-aone]63, 64, and 65 naruto, the windows media player has an error about codec? it says

"attemping to download codec" or something then it says "error"...so then it shows nothing, all i hear is the episode...

but the OTHER fansubs, like [animerev] or [darkanime], it works fine...

whats goingon?

Do you have DivX 5 (and above) installed?
Do you also have the Xvid Codec installed as well?

the new Xvid codec is 1.0 beta2. Is that the same one as you currently have?
Also.... did you install your codecs via a codec pack?

Edit: Could be they were encoded with a different version of Xvid or something... not really sure. But you should check what codec the files are using, by opening them up in AviC which is located in your Xvid directory. Both drop down menu's should match, and should either be Xvid or DivX.

actually, i tried downloading the [anbu-aone] naruto 65, and it works, but then [anbu-aone] naruto 64 doesnt work...

and where do i get the newer codecs? (but i'm not sure if i need them, if naruto 65 works)

Try download: ffdshow ('http://cutka.szm.sk/ffdshow/') That should solve your codec problems.

You could also be making a silly mistake like I was once and not realising that your ep hasn't fully downloaded. Make sure the ep is all there.
