Pretty much all you need is some anime, video editing software (MS Movie Maker, Avid Free DV, Sony Sonic Movie Studio, Adobe Premiere, Magix Movie Edit Pro, Ulead Video Studio, Pinnacle Studio, Roxio VideoWave) (all windows software) The only software for Mac I know of is Final Cut Pro. It's pretty much like making an animated gif, cut and pase frames, use effects to fade scenes in or make it seemless. Adobe After Effects is good for adding crazy effects to your video. Everything is usualyl different depending on thesoftware you use. I have only messed with Adobe Premiere, and Aftter Effects, but don't know much else. Find some software you like and look for tutorials for that software. MS Movie Maker, and Avid DV are Free software. The rest cost a some mad loot! Hope this helps http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Oh yeah, and a WHOLE LOT OF RAM, having a good processor would help a lot too.

you can find some guides on how to create a AMV here ('http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/') (be sure to read at least Phade's Guide to Good Anime Music Videos)

don't know any guides for editing though, so you just have to experiment with it. I suggest windows movie maker 2 for a start. its really easy to use, and it has got some nice effects and transitions. if you wanna take it up a notch, buy ( http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/wink.gif ) adobe premier. uncrowned king of editing programs, but really bitch to work with. i don't like it, i stick with wmm2.
