When Kakeshi summons his dogs in the battle against Zabuza he pulls out a scroll and wipes his blood on it. Is the scroll similar to Jiraiya's giant scroll in the sense that they both contain contracts with animals? If that's true does that mean any animal can be summoned if the user has a contract with them. i.e. like how Oro always has snakes around him.

I was going to start a similar topic some time ago. The thing interesting for me was that those dogs that Kakashi pulls out are done with a scroll, albeit it may be via a contract. The thing with Orochimaru and Jiraiya is that the use Kuchiose No Jutsu, and do hand seals without a scroll.... the REAL summoning Jutsu. Does that mean then that Kuchiose No Jutsu, when/if used by Kakashi, will pull out a different animal? Even Gai's turtle we don't know how he got it, whether it was from the scroll version or the real Mcoy.

I don't know if this was covered, but I don't think it would be necessary.
Because the answer is obvious. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/blink.gif

The scroll most likely wasn't quite same because Kakashi had to use it in order to make the summoning. Jirayia doesn't.

Of course the contract is to one animal. And kakashis just happens to be with dogs. And I think u can make it with almost any animals, but I don't know or try to guess that can you make more than one contract at same time.

I think it is different though because when Kakeshi summons his dogs he is summoning a specific dog(s) regardless of how much chakra is used. But when Jiraiya and Naruto summon a frog the amount of chakra used determines which frog is summoned.

kakashi said that those 9 dogs are "my cute dogs" LOL .. that means he own them .. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/laugh.gif meaning that they are real I guess... http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

i think it was a special summon, cuz when you do a normal summon, you can get 1 creature, but he summoned all 9 of them, thats why he had to use that scroll.

and they don't look like kakashi's doggies. moreover, they are doing missions. i don't think walking Kakashi's dog is a missions http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/dry.gif

the cool thing is that he puts his thumb down the scroll with zabuzas blood on it so the nin dogs know who to attack, therefore, unlike the big frog naruto summons (gamabunta? http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/unsure.gif ) they cant communicate with humans through voice.

I dont know whether kakashi "owns" the dogs or if it is jst a special jutsu, but i would like to think he owned them cos that would be cool http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/mf_laughbounce2.gif

Actually it's Kakashi's own blood... that's why he explains he allowed Zabuza to hit him with his weapons so that they would be soaked with his (Kakashi's) blood.

actually, i think Kakashi just doesn't have enough chackra to call the dogs on his own, so he uses a scroll...

or maybe the scroll is just like a temporary one-time conract, so that's why he spills his blood on the scroll, but that won't make sense, cuz he knows the doggies...

it might also be that he can summon them the normal way, but to have them go underground he needs to use the scroll, and maybe the scroll Jiraya carries has all the jutsus concerning the froggies..

Actualy The Kycouise Jutsu technique doesn't only summon one creature. Depending on the contract or jutsu, you can create a number of creatures depending on how much charka the summoner uses. Since his scroll technique is a skill/jutsu of Kakashi's so he mastered that technique. But there is alot of logical explination for this. Since YOU!! don't know the past of Kakashi. You gotta wait.

Damn you look ugly on that picture http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/mf_gap.gif
By the way i think it's some kind of "momentary" contract only used when he uses the scroll...not like he could summon them anytime...
It may just be a "nin dogs summoning" scroll or something like that...
But why don't we ever see the other ninjas use scrolls ? http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/blink.gif

we saw tenten use the scrolls for her attack...

out of curiosity, i know the scrolls look cool when they use them (fancy movement and all) but, why do they need them exactly? the scrolls have special powers themselves?

Yup, I also thought about that. Well... And as you should remember, Kakashi also used those same dogs when he was training Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. Remember? In the episode where Naruto screw up with everything...

When Oro summoned the big snake, didn't he have a tattoo of something on his arm? Maybe he had writings of a summoning scroll tattooed on his arm, but then again, that wouldn't explain how Naruto did it...
