If my memory is right didnt Hokage used it two times? First with the Mizuki battle and then with the Naruto-Elite teacher "battle"? (which wasnt really battle because Naruto made that sexy no jutsu thing and beated the teacher lol)

I watched the first episode today, and I notice something that never really got any play in the series,
infact it was gone after the first episode, it was the third hokage's cristal ball.
It seems like something that would handy to have.
anyone notice any other "one time wonders"?

theory,
maybe the crystal ball only works on the people and affliated in the konoha villiage. other peeps are hidden from the crystal's view.
if it could see "everything" it would be too powerful of any item

Well that theory about the people only aflitrated with the Konohona. Could be true.

Also the story wouldnt have that &quot;edge&quot; if they knew every single thing that was about to happen.

Or perhaps it&#39;s limited to just Naruto.

After all, he has got that Demon fox inside him. And it is an extremely dangerous thing to have around should it break out. I guess he&#39;s suppose to keep a very close eye on Naruto so that he can see it coming, and it keeps track of him via that seal Naruto has on his chest.

Although he&#39;s being lazy and after all the years he dosn&#39;t think the fox will break free. So he dosn&#39;t keep an eye on him anymore. The only time you saw him use it was when &#39;Naruto&#39; ran off with the sacred scrolls. Naruto hasn&#39;t done anything bad since then, and he&#39;s never used it on anyone else except Naruto so far. So that&#39;s my theory.
