Anbu Girl, hehe.. I take care of my brothers aaaaaaaaalllllll the time (they're 6 and 9 right now, been caring for em since they were born, especially during summer, that sucked)
Krb, Gai's mom came from Germany, so he's 1/2 German, and Mark's a little more than 1/4rth German (I've got German blood in me too)
migawari, well, I'm lucky b/c I finished hs with such good grades that I got a statewide scholarship, which means that while I'm in school, as long as I take 4 course a year, it'll pay 75% of my tuition, books are another story though... so I managed to get through with borrowing, not having a book, or, if neccesary, buying as few books as i can.

I'm a very shy, quiet, and SHORT (yes, I consider that part of my personality) 18-year-old first-year college student and an art major. I was born in California where I lived until I was 2 (I don't remember any of it, sadly) and now live in the cold US state of Michigan and hate our weather most of the time. Online I tend to be not quite as shy as in person, but I've still got some of that—I'm hesitant to IM people I don't know unless they IM me first, and stuff like that. I guess I'm a generally nice-kid, don't like to fight over big things (though I adore arguing about petty things like the meaning of a word, especially when I know I'm right. I guess I like to show off ^ˆ^;; ). Not easily motivated, meaning I'm lazy (EVERYONE's lazy, come on!). I hate cooking but I enjoy folding towels.
As far as nationality and all that goes, I'm from the US but my ancestors way-back-when were pretty much ALL Dutch. But that doesn't mean much now because my parents and grandparents were all raised here in the States. And ... I have brown hair and glasses. w00t.

Take away the money and the beer.... make it female version and you've got me almost. I don't have the plans against DB_hunter but because Shikai is my friend i let him rule the world besides me (it makes him happy).

I'm not good at this type of stuff, but I'll describe my personality as best as I can.
I'm usually quiet, people usually consider me shy because I don't initiate conversations with strangers when I don't need to,weird huh.I'm not the type of person to interogate someone and dig in their family business,I despise people like that.I also don't like really loud people, there annoying.I'll talk a lot to someone if I share common interests, but if not, then its just your typical casual conversation,so theres not much to talk about there.Anime is cool, but my real interest is cars.

Alot of shy people here http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/mf_gap.gif
Myself, I hate having to say the first word to someone but I have found that I am usually the first one to break the silence on ocassions because I can't bear it! But as soon as the first word (yes, you read correctly, word) is out of the way, usually I tend to treat people like I have known them for a long time.... can sometimes come back and hit me when some people are like... OK who are you http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/wink.gif ? Hate that when it happens. Doesn't happen that much lately now.
Hmmm, garbled engrish again.

I'm English, 20 years old and generally quiet and incredibly shy, though I'm pretty talkative around people I know well. I like music, mostly (but not limited to) metal, I also like films, anime, playing guitar/bass, video games and reading. I dislike unnecessarily loud people, people who hate people of different race or sexuality and also narrow minded people...

meh... my personality is very complicated. It's unlike most of you who come to this forum, in the fact that i have a rare personality disorder known as Asburgers Syndrome.
Yes, Asburgers Syndrome is a social problem really, but it isn't as simple as that and can't be classified under that so easily. Because it's the social behaviour of people that influences a persons personality. Interaction is very important in upbringing a persons persona. This results in a persons personality being affected greatly and causes them to do things a normal person wouldn't otherwise do.
For example.... you know those people which collect stuff, and are obsessed with it totally? Like a stamp collection or whatever, and would totally flip if just one stamp was out of place? Well that's part of the Asbergers Syndrome, and it shows how much lack of social interaction from a young age can affect a person.
meh.... *looks for a medical Encyclipedia*
Ok, i shall state what it says here about the condition.
</div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'>"A rare abnormality of development, possibly related to autism, that is characterised by subtle abnormalities of social interactions, preoccupation with special interests (such as pre-historic monsters, cars, etc.), and, commonly, by abnormalities of personality (such as a particulary idiosyncratic sense of humour).
The cause is unknown and the disorder is often unrecognised, but it may give rise to major problems of social relationships and oddities of behaviour. Identification of the disorder may help the family to understand the individual's difficulties and allow provision of support and counselling.</td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>
I also went to a special place for a week. They observed me and gave me various tests, and was the very same place which diagnosed me with this problem. Their speciality is discovering psychological/social or any other of mind related problems with a person. I got 3 reports back, which are too lengthy to quote, so i shall briefly give the results:
Affection
Midium Expressed 3 - 6 (Reflects how close and warm you are with others.)
High Wanted 7 - 9 (Reflects how close and warm you want others to be with you.)
eh.... a summery of the info here is something like.... I am a genuinely warm and caring person, who greatly enjoys other peoples personal interests, encouragement, and friendship. But my friends are likely to fail to recognise just how much reassurance and support i need. Also, even if they did and i became attached to them, i would still require a great deal of reassurance that i am someone they care for and that i'm important to them. My need for individual closeness will almost always fall short of fulfillment, because people will rarely ever recognise how much i need it.
Possible problems:
Over-emotional
Unable to let others know my real needs in a relationship without overwhelming them.
I presume they care more about others than about me.
I press too frequently on others for demonstation that they care for me.
I have difficulty confronting and recognizing my insecurity in close relationships.
Control
Low Expressed 0 - 2 (How much influence and responsibility i want)
Medium Wanted 3 - 6 (How much i want others to lead and influence me)
I give the impression that i want no responsibility, but may however like a little responsibility as long as i can consult with the other people involved before making a decision. By checking with others i am making sure that i am doing the right thing. I enjoy carring out the desires of the people i care about when i am sure that i understand what it is they want.
Possible problems:
I am not clear about how ambitious i really am.
I find it difficult to work with people who look to me for leadership.
I have doubts about my ability to make good decisions.
I miss opportunities for development because of my fear for failure.
I sometimes let others take control more out of tolerance than desire, i generally let others make decisions that affect me and i fail to assert my own wishes out of politeness or consideration. Others probably do not see how independant i really want to be.
Inclusion
Low expressed 0 - 2 (How much you generally include other ppl in your life)
Low wanted 0 - 2 (How much contact, attention, and recognition i want from others.)
I am very selective about who i want to include in my life, and i don't like large groups of people, but prefer smaller groups. People may see me as a bit of a loner, or perhaps as shy or independant, self-contained, and isolated. Because the way a person acts lets others know how much interaction a person wants, i am unlikely to get many people to interact with me.
Possible Problems:
My preference for privacy may be misinterpreted as lack of interest or even arrogance.
When i am singled out for attention, i find it embarrassing and perhaps even insincere, even though the other persons intention was genuine.
My preference for low inclusion maybe due to fear of rejection by others.
I'm missing opportunities to learn or contribute to a group, for instance, occasions where i could make useful business contacts or learn new skills.
I also have a huge report of about 26 pages, which i won't bother to include. But i'm suppose to be slightly obsessive over a certain subject, i'm very shy and fear rejection from others. I am a very nice and kind person, but often ask for or require too much attention from others around me.
My likes are subjects about love and relationships which work.
My dislikes are relationships that don't work.
I have a strong belief that once you've chosen someone as your boyfriend/girlfriend, you should stay with them for life. Because if the love is true, then you should do everything you can to work your problems out, rather than give up and break up. I guess this also means i'm extremely nieve.

Unfortunately.... this means i'm not the sort of guy that "Legendary Nin" would be ok with... because i'm very curious and i really like to know how everything is in a persons life. i'm a hateful person. i hate it when people don't spell good. punctuation doesn't matter, but spelling can really tick me off (stuff like ur/your/you're, their/there/they're, etc).
i don't sleep, and that also pisses me off.

I’m a little bit of a computer geek…I like rpgs and first person shooters. I hate sports / sports games. I don’t drink soda I think beer tastes horrible. I’m shy, but honestly and forthcoming. I hate working I just can’t understand why the rest of the world is willing to sell a 1/3 of their life away. I work simply to fit in, but I think I’d be much happier as a bum. I don’t understand the point of having fancy cars, and I really couldn’t give a shit what my house/car looks like (as long as they do what I need them to do). I Like Family guy dislike simpsons. The cup is always half empty, and I’m quite lazy. I’m half trekkie I guess. Babylon 5 was one of my favorite shows, but I couldn’t even watch a full episode of voyager. I find space and the mystery of our universe interesting I’m pretty big into sci- fi books and movies. My grammar and spelling suck. I had an inner ear problem when I was younger It worked itself out over the years, however I still have horrible penmanship and I can’t draw in the slightest. (or at least I like to blame the inner ear problem for this)

In the West, the Dog is man's best friend, but in Chinese Astrology this Sign is a little more unpredictable than that. Dogs are loyal, faithful and honest and always stick to their firm codes of ethics. However, this Sign has trouble trusting others. It's generally quite trustworthy itself -- except for the occasional "little white lies" the Dog tells in order to make things go more smoothly. The Dog makes a wonderful, discreet and loyal friend (despite any white lies) and is an excellent listener. This Sign tends to root for the underdog and its keen sense of right and wrong makes it duty-bound to the core. The Dog's mantra seems to be, Live right, look out for the little people and fight injustice whenever possible.
Dogs can also be rather dogmatic, too. They don't go in for light social banter; instead, they go straight for home, expostulating on the topics that are most important to them. At these times the Dog's narrow-minded or stubborn side can become apparent; this Sign has trouble staying light and calm when an important issue is at stake. This Sign can also be very temperamental; mood swings characterize its emotional life and often the Dog needs to run off to be alone in order to recuperate. Part of the problem is the result of this Sign's load of irrational fears that turn into niggling anxieties that turn into hurt feelings and occasional grouchiness. This sensitive Sign needs to warm up to others over time and gradually learn to trust them. Without that trust as a foundation, Dogs can be judgmental and coarse.
The Dog's discerning nature does make it an excellent business person, one who can turn that picky, guarded nature into a keen sense of the truth of another's motives. Where love is concerned, Dogs often have a tough time finding the right match. They can be so anxious and overwrought in the romance dance that they'll stress their partner to the max! In any forum, this Sign is happiest when able to be quite physically active; at home or at work, the Dog will always be constructing something new or cleaning something up in order to make things better. Dogs need to work on controlling their irrational worries and would also be well-served to relax their mile-high standards, which can sometimes wind up alienating the ones they love.
<u>water</u>
Those of you born under the influence of the Chinese Astrology Element of Water act with the assured fluidity of a river, affecting your environment with your strength and quiet charm. Creative and captivating, diplomatic and intuitive, Water individuals are the masters of subtle persuasion. Without even appearing to try, you can gain someone's trust and affection, and once you've got them they'll follow you anywhere. You make everyone feel special, noting and praising each person's unique talents.
Your inherent pliability, the fluid calm that makes you so appealing, can also make you sometimes too passive, too willing to be what someone wants you to be. You tend to take the shape of whatever container you're poured into.Rather than letting others dam up your energies, let yourself flow freely!
Wat's yours?

Those of you born under the influence of the Chinese Element Fire burn through life with your fierce charm, your impulsive enthusiasm and your restless emotions. A natural leader, you inspire with your decisive action and dramatic expression; people can't help but be magnetically drawn to you. Where will you lead your followers? Likely into an exciting adventure of some sort. You're instinctual, but your mind sparks with new ideas and clever solutions.
In love, you're highly-charged -- even combustible at times! Hot tamales to the core, these dynamic individuals can see straight to the heart of an issue and make it work for them. You may seem single-minded, but you just refuse to be swayed from a cause they believe to be important.
This also descirbes me well,weird.
I'm a tiger, well my sign is Leo,what do you expect.
Tigers may not be the king of the jungle, but these striped cats are no softies! Magnetic and self-possessed, Tigers are born leaders. They have an air of authority that prompts others to fall in line, which is exactly how they like it. Although they are magnetically charming and fun to be around, Tigers like to go it alone sometimes too. A Tiger's main interest is in following its ambitions -- and maintaining control.
Tigers are courageous beyond compare and generally come out ahead in battle, be it in the boardroom or the bedroom. Seduction is one area where the Tiger is definitely king! Noble and warm-hearted, Tigers have a natural, raw appeal that's extremely attractive to other Signs. They're not just about attraction, though; ever on the side of right, Tigers will fight the good fight to the bitter end if the cause is worthy. Opponents are wise to fear this feline.
A bit of caution is a good thing around Tigers, since they can pounce without warning. They experience mood swings and often feel things more intensely than others, the latter quality being both good and bad. They can react poorly under stress and are prone to emotional outbursts. This Sign's bristling sensitivity can send friend and foe running for cover.
A lesson that Tigers would be well-served to learn is "moderation in all things." Once these cats can find their center and direct their considerable energies toward worthwhile endeavors (as opposed to racing through life), they will accomplish much.

I'm a wooden Ox. I'm a bit skeptical about this type of thing though.
I suppose I can be strong and stubborn like the ox, but those are not my most distinguishing characteristics. I would describe myself as being cynical, anti-social artistic, intellectual, athiestic, often ambiguous, and I'm percieved as a vagabond in general.

I am a very shy and quiet person and I tend to keep to myself most of the time. I am naturally more outgoing with people I know and am close to, and I sometimes find it easier to express myself on the internet. I don't like being in a big group (especially with people that I do not know).
Other than that, I enjoy drawing, reading interesting autobiographies, watching movies, and surfing the net.

So I tried those astrology-things and I'm a wood-ox. I guess. It kinda contradicts itself—ox says I'm stubborn, wood says I'm passive and let others push me around. Ox says I need to learn to value qualities in myself and others; wood says I understand the values I and those around me have.
On the other hand, I can find things in both of the categories that describe me. Maybe that's the way to go about creating a good astrology system—say things that could apply to anyone if they think about it enough?

Theres a difference between caring and being nosey for the sake of gossip.I don't like people who just dig for gossip, you don't seem like one.Though you might come on too strong to people, that maybe the trigger. It's nice to have someone to be around to give a hand when you slip. There's nothing to be sorry about, just different personalities, nothing more, nothing less.

Essentially, I'm a shy person, I NEVER initiate conversation with anyone, but as soon as someone approaches me I become a bit of a talker. When I'm around my friends my shyness seems to disappear, then someone new comes and I clam up.
I think that's why I spend a lot of time online..... my shyness doesn't seem to exist in this virtual world, it leaves me temporarily. Because of this, I've become quite competent with computers over the past 10 years, both hardware and software, and I've just finished my degree in the area so I hope to soon start my career.
I guess you could say I'm a stereotypical geek...... I enjoy anime/manga, pen and paper RPGs, I'm also a hardcore PC and console gamer, going to LANs quite often for nonstop gaming sessions. The only thing that sets me apart from the 'geek' stereotype is that I take pride in my appearance, I buy nice clothes, etc. I'm just that little bit different. One of my obsessions is spelling and grammar and it really annoys me when people write 'there' instead of their or they're, and 'your' instead of you're.
I've been told by many people that I'm a 'super-nice' guy, I guess there's an element of truth to that. I'm a better listener than talker, and many people use me to vent all their problems, I don't mind. I like to think that I'm trusted by many.
I'm also a very big fan of Lys-chan and her deviance, hehe, although she doesn't know it, and in saying that now I'm probably totally freaking her out..... I'M A STALKER! http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif hehe.... not really, just a wannabe stalker, heh.

Sometimes people don't appreciate it... This is true. It's quite harsh if they act hostile towards you simply because you're being nice. However i don't think you should really expect anything from them. Just simply being nice to them should be self-satisfying. I've often found, that even if they don't appear to give any kindness back, you should always carry on the way you started. People sometimes take a while to realise that you're always there for them, and you've always been nice and someone they can trust. It can take a while, but as long as you're nice for the most part, then they will eventually start talking to you about things they wouldn't normally talk to a lot of their friends, because a bond of trust has been formed by your kindness.
Look at it this way. If a person is kind to you when you first met them, will you instantly trust them with everything? But if they've been kind to you for say a year or so, and their consistancy of kindness seems to prove that the kindness is geniune, would you then trust them? =P
Never expect anything back though. Just be happy that you're probably treating them better than most of their friends, and simply be happy that you are able to be so kind. Like i said ^^'
Self-Satisfying.
oh btw:
I'm a Water Pig.
DOB: 3/8/83
Astrological Sign: Leo
Chinese Astrological Sign: Pig
Chinese Element: Water
</div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><u>Chinese Astrological Sign:</u> Pig
<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Contrary to its rather negative reputation in the West, the Pig of Chinese Astrology may be the most generous and honorable Sign of the Zodiac. Pigs are nice to a fault and possess impeccable manners and taste. They have so much of the perfectionist in them that others may be inclined to perceive them as snobs, but this is a misconception. Pigs are simply possessed of a truly luxurious nature, one that delights in finery and riches (in surroundings, food, lovemaking and otherwise). This Sign believes in the best qualities of mankind and certainly doesn't consider itself to be superior. Pigs also care a great deal about friends and family and work hard to keep everyone in their life happy. Helping others is a true pleasure for the Pig, who feels best when everyone else is smiling.
A Pig with no one around to appreciate its giving nature is a sad sight. Pigs are so magnanimous they can appear almost saintly; this can lead some less-than-well-intentioned souls to stomp all over this Sign, and the bad news is, the Pig will take the blows! Pigs make great companions in part because of their refusal to see the more negative or base qualities in a partner, but that rose-colored view can lead to this Sign's allowing itself to be taken advantage of. Contrary to their seemingly benign dispositions, however, Pigs can be quite venomous in response to being crossed by a lover, friend or business partner.
Pigs are highly intelligent creatures, forever studying, playing and probing in their quest for greater knowledge. They can be misinterpreted as being lazy, however, due to their love of reveling in the good stuff; this Sign could happily spend hours on end making love, napping, taking a long bubble bath or dallying over an incredible spread of rich foods. Pigs tend to make wonderful life partners due to their hearts of gold and their love of family. Even so, Pigs can be rather exclusive, choosing to spend time with those who will appreciate them most and ignore the rest of the populace. Pigs would do well to realize that there's more to life than being needed. When they open up their world to a diverse group of people, they will truly bloom.</span></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>
