Might be cuz the Haku thing was just...raw emotion, no control. Chakra was leaking everywhere, he went insane, lost complete control. In the fight against Neji he seemed to suck all the chakra up and channel it, making it powerful but a bit more limiting, I suppose.

Garaa was not afraid, he was most likely excited that someone got enormous power...something like that. I agree that Naruto didn't use all of Kyubi's power since he didn't get those eyes and sharp teeth,etc. But Naruto sooner will be able to control Kyubi chakra (half of it at least) Probably raw emotion did get him powered up but Neji was talking and talking and talking to Naruto about he's just a dropout so I think that would offended Naruto to use Kyubi since he had no chakra to make Kage Bunshin.

don't forget naruto was a bit injured (i said a bit 'coz he was healed) and fought with neji at close combat just to tease him ! with range attack neji would have had much more problems .

byakugan is a precious tool that enable neji to feel EVERYTHING in his byakugan field .
even if he lost the sight with naruto, with byakugan he'll know where naruto's attacking .

speaking of naruto,
he didn't use a 100000000000th of kyuubi's real force , he just barely released what was enough to beat neji .
perhaps if naruto release too much kyuubi's he'll just loose his self .
(i could fully understant that , kubbi's such a powerful being ... it's quite unique)

gaara is never afraid, he don't know what that means .
he's just excited, REALLY excited, because he see in naruto his own kind , and a force that match up with his own , or be so close that naruto can be the worthy opponent he's looking for .

I agree that the look in Gaaras face wasnt of fear, it rather looked surprised of finding another "worthy opponent." But I think that the reason why naruto isnt using all of Kyubis chakra (and it may sound foolish) is that since the Fox is a evil being he doesnt want to share all of his chakra with Naruto. naruto is controling the fox's power now, hokage said it, he can acall it on command, its no longer asking the fox for it.

aslo remember that neji had naruto on the ground unable to move, but he recovered, its not naruto in his top form..

Gaara was not afraid of Naruto and he wasn't excited. He certainly isn't in love with Naruto. The reason he looked like that is very simple and has already been hinted at but to be safe I'll put it in spoiler form.

Remember when Gaara talked to Naruto and Shikamaru in the hospital, about the demon in him, and that eyerybody hated him, since he was a child???

He said, that nobody could understand him, but maybe he realizes now, that Naruto is not so diffrent from him.

and it looked like Gaara was affraid of Naruto.. really affraid, you probably noticed it (maybe there's allready a topic about it http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif ) but I couldn't help it, the big bad never being impressed by anything gaara was scared, really scared...

so... I'm under the impression that naruto is capable of killing gaara eassily, espescially because he is so fast now (when he uses the red chakra) that you cant see him anymore (neji couldn't spot him.. that has to mean something)

Actually, the whole point of the whole thing was to show the audience (viewers, as well as the audience in the anime) that Naruto was able to control the Kyubi chakra without making himself angry or being angry. The power of it was obviously below what he did with Haku, or perhaps even Orochimaru, but it's a start. That's what they were trying to get at.

I doubt Gaara is afraid of Naruto.. but I think Naruto interests him alot now that he know they are pretty similar, and he might be curious about the fact that naruto can use kyubi chakara or have kyubi wihtout him beeing affected alot. Wich I think Gaara is alot by Shukaku cause he's posessed by it. I guess we gonna get more info on shukaku later on. But I doubt Gaara is in super control over whatever it is..

I myself doubt Gaara is afraid of Naruto (i haven't watched ep 64 yet since i can't get it to play right, anyone know the correct codec needed for it?)

I would say Gaara is definatly excited to see someone as powerful or nearly as powerful as him (probably to Gaara he sees Naruto as someone fasinating to kill).

Though perhaps Gaara is also starting to feel new emotions now like fear, has been a few occasions in a couple episodes where he has acted odd - Like when Gai stopped him from killing Lee.

But thats just my 2 cents

excited... naruto can't control the powers... the powers control him ( I think) because naruto should be able to move that fast and fight that good on it's own, but he can't... the red chakra ... I think the demon is controlling naruto (a little bit, sort of directing him) gaara.. I don't know, I thought he was scared, I got be wrong but when naruto freaked out when sasuke died (or at least naruto thought so...) he got the weird eyes, and the stripes on his face turned into burning red marks.

if that were too happen when naruto is fighting gaara, and it will since the demon won't die that easy, I think naruto wouth freak out and kill gaara... not because he wants to, but because he needs too.

gaara is not afraid (at this point). he only excited with the prospect of fighting and killing of naruto. gaara is prolly bored with all the easy kills he gets and after getting a handle ful from rock lee and winning, he's looking forward to another challenge.

but gaara should be worried. gaara has only seen a portion of leaked kyubi chakra, imagine if naruto totally loses it and freaks out on gaara's @$$ then gaara will be poopin' bricks.

if u rewatch the rock lee - gaara fight, u will see he is scared. because his sand shield is too slow.

I don't know if you ever saw a scared person before... but I know excited, and gaara did not look excited to me, maybe the demon inside of gaara is excited, but that's normal, but gaara had the same look on his face when lee passed his sand shield and cracked his body (or whatever it is)

I do have one question about that, the team mates of gaara said that they didn't see the real gaara for a long long time, but when lee hit him... I didn't see anything... just a weird person with a lot of nothing inside.

Kyuubi's Power is never fully released.

Kyuubi's power is almost on the brink of emerging when he was battlign Haiku, and naruto thought that Sasuke died.

Kyuubi mode is only a small amount of this power.

BUT! IF U GUYS WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER await ep 65 & 66 because, well, u'll find out.

I don't know if you ever saw a scared person before... but I know excited, and gaara did not look excited to me, maybe the demon inside of gaara is excited, but that's normal, but gaara had the same look on his face when lee passed his sand shield and cracked his body (or whatever it is)

I do have one question about that, the team mates of gaara said that they didn't see the real gaara for a long long time, but when lee hit him... I didn't see anything... just a weird person with a lot of nothing inside.

theres a big cage inside naruto because kyubi is a prisoner within naruto, he aint comn out anytime soon. and if he wants to live to see tomorrow he has to keep naruto alive until he is unsealed. i cant wait for the day that happens and wreak havoc upon the world. when kyubi leaves naruto, he is so totally screwed without red chakra. no more kyubi bailing him out, its all him now.

like I said... naruto is becoming more and more powerful every day, when the seal breaks... naruto is powerful to stop kyubi ( I think) kyubi was stopped with the big frog boss and a sacrefice (spelling sucks) and it can happen again.

I know naruto strength is screwed up because he can use the red chakra when he wants and when he really needs 2, but hey... when naruto keeps getting stronger the way he does now... 'he will become powerful enough to be a strong ninja even without kyubi.

Actually, when he fought Lee, he was afraid. You could see it on his face, and hear it in his voice. He thought he was gonna lose. But the gourd turned into sand and (cheaply) saved him.

As for Kyuubi, I believe the fox is giving him as much chakra as it believes Naruto's body can hold right now. I'm sure there's potential to get a lot more from him as he grows (physically and skillfully).

You're right about that, if you wouth LOOK at the ep when your watching it, you wouth remember that in the hospital naruto was the one who was ready to defend lee against gaara and fight him, but then gaara told his story and naruto realised that they were alike, his eyes were looking kinda weird, but he wasn't affraid http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/dry.gif

Come on.. Did u watch the Hospital episode?? Naruto was shaking his boots of.. He almost abandon Shikamaru.. he first thouth that Gaara and he was the same but when Gaara told him that he´s only meaning with life was killing all other Ninjas (or was it humans) Naruto freakt and began to understand that this was a mass-murdurer with a deamon inside him unlike himself a stupid shinobi that is hated because his deamon and only want to make ppl recognice him and become Hokage and havent killed a single guy..

he also said in his mind that Gaara would kill him there on the spott.. That was when he was shaking like a leaf..

And the reason he was not afraid of Oro was because he was in "Kyubi mode".. So he was a berserker that only fights untill he drops and afraid of nothing.. It was almost the Kyubi fighting not Naruto

Well we only know Naruto isn't big enough right ow to take all of Kyuubi's power... we can't say that he has to be as big as Kyuubi to have the same amount of chakra... by that logic 4th Hokage wouldn't have been able to do jack to Kyuubi he was almost like a flea to him.

It could be the amount of chakra you can have within you rises exponentially as you grow.

Edit: Well, for humans anyway.

what can be said is, the people of konoha will never see naruto the same way again, and of course they'll hate him. some people probably hated him more knowing that he drew the power and defeated neji. konoha will see him as an enemy, other villages will see him as a tool.
