just so you know naruto is starting to look similer to DBZ because in the fight between naruto and neji, when naruto got the red chakra it surounded his body (like goku when he first faught with vegeta) and then neji surrounded him self also with the energy like naruto did. then in the end of the fight they had that chakra explosion just like what DBZ did all the time, and to top it off they had the big smoke clowd that went away slowly....so there were signs of DBZ likeness in that ep. but dont get me wrong i love http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/mf_w00t1.gif NARUTO http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/mf_w00t1.gif

i dont know if anyones said this or not but who cares, right? we cant even be sure that the anime will stop at the same place as the manga. there are plenty of series that stopped before the manga&#39;s end. take berserk for example, the animes been over for years now and the latest volume in the manga was released a couple of weeks ago.

when the manga will end the anime will end.
and the manga is way advance .. we have like 40 episodes to catch up to where they are now , and the manga isnt going to end soon from what i heard , so dont worry about it , we will have plenty of naruto episodes..

The concept of Chi is not unique to DBZ, dont really see why there is a comparison there. And as for `dragging things out`, there is no way you can even compare Naruto with DBZ in that aspect 0-0 Try watching the fight with freiza from start to finish....then watch Naruto. waaaay more fast paced, more intelligent fight scenes, and just overall a much better fight.

DragonBall Z also had the prequel Dragonball and the sequel Dragonball GT that might happen with naruto as well, so it stays the same story and so continues on.

the manga end is not nearly close,
and it would take the anime about a year to catch up to the current point of the manga.
So yeah -if- naruto does catch up to where the manga is (might stop beforehand) you&#39;re looking at like 150 eps at least

DBZ was awesome but I do admit they took the pee with the Goku Vs Freiza fight especially when Namek was meant to blow up... I used to almost run home from college (Yes COLLEGE&#33;) everyday to see that damn planet blow up lol.... hope THAT doesn&#39;t happen to Naruto but all else is cool.

http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/cool.gif Naruto is a great series, I&#39;d love it to have tons of eps, although I really hope it doesn&#39;t get to the point where the story and fights just drag out over dozens of episodes at a time like what happens in Dragon Ball. So far I think the Naruto series has done a great job in keeping the fights reasonably short yet, action packed and filled with interest and excitement.

Just to clear up the facts on the Dragon Ball series. There are a total of 153 episodes of Dragon Ball, 291 episodes of Dragon Ball Z, and 64 episodes of Dragon Ball GT (which was made without Akira Toriyama or a manga to draw a story from). I won&#39;t bother to list how many movies and specials the DB series put out since most of them were pretty rediculous and didn&#39;t follow with any of the storyline of the eps.

*Also those numbers are the original Japanese episode amounts, not the english butchered versions. Their are far less episodes for each DB and DBZ when it was dubbed and edited by FUNimation.

A while back EVERYONE loved DragonBallZ (that watched anime of course) . Whoever says otherwise is either lying or barely started watching anime... Dragon ball was one of the best animes of the time... no one complained about it draggin on so long because they were interested in watching the next episode.. cliff hangers were &#39;exciting&#39;

Now, EVERYONE (or something close) loves Naruto.. its the same phenomenon.. You only think its not being dragged out but it is.. especially in the earlier eps. (5 minute recap of last episode? cmon..) but no one really cares.. because you simply don&#39;t know whats comin up next (Exclude manga readers).. Once a grate new anime comes along round 2015 or something I bet you everyones going to complain about Naruto dragging so much.. you just wont admit it now because you havent looked at everything yet...

What the Naruto series has yet to do that DB excelled at was the dragging of fights over the course of &#39;Dozens&#39; of episodes. One fight could last 20+ episodes. e.g. (Buu, Cell, Frieza). The Naruto series has had one major battle, which was Zabuza, they met two different times, and it only lasted a handful of episodes each time they met.

The Chuunin exam has lasted quite a long time, but that&#39;s to be expected when you have dozens of fights, one right after another. Most of those fights lasted one to two episodes each, some were less than a single ep. Honestly, do you remember how long some of the fights were in the tournaments during DB and DBZ?

I loved the DB series for what it was, and Naruto picks up on some of what DB taught us on how to advance the story, but it still doesnt drag on quite as much at DB just yet. http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/wink.gif
