Nah, he just knows the guys lazy, but also realises his intelligence. So he was just sitting back, eating away, thinking this could be a while cause the guy is lazy and will probably win.

yeah they are actually best friends (it is said later on the manga) but i dont know if they like ino, she is totally obsessed with sasuke. also shikamaru would be too lazy to try to get ino, she seems like she would be bossy and would be alot to handle and she proabbly wouldn't give any up until a while later ike 3 months.
