im just curious. according to the board statistics the most users ever online was 425 on July 19 2003, 02:43 PM. i find this wierd since i joined july 11, and i was member #446. assuming that the total members was about 500 that day, it would mean that about 80% was online.

now, we have about 3100 members, but we have never reached a activity as high as when we had 6 times less members. dous anyone remember that day. if there was something strange going on or something?

is there a prob with the counting, since the newest member atm: paithan ('http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=6228') is member 7747. though there are only 3100 members accordin to the board statistics.

can anyone explain?

maybe everyone just was logged on that day. i dont remeber if there was anything going on that day. proabbly just a coincidence.

well perhaps it is because when there is less people the site goes faster...i think... and so everyone was around with good speed

or the site wasnt around as long as it is now so everyone was testing it and seeing what its like

if joker kun joined 2 days before the infamous day and he was 810th, and sexy no jutsu was 446 just 6 days before joker kun, the actual number of people on the 19th was probaly close to 1000, so about 50% were online, which sounds more reasonable. also, maybe there are 3100 members who have actually posted.. if you look at the "overall top 10 posters and go to the last pages, there are a huge number who dont have any posts. if they dont make the numbers, maybe you dont get counted til you're a genin?

i think it was because the forum was new and that was one of the days where people were waiting around for hours until the new episode came out

I'm member 3125 and joined Auguest 31st.The member counter s at 3165,obviously it is wrong.I've seen the counter rest after 3999 more than three times already.The real number would be around 10-12000 members,not 3165.So that could also be wrong as well.

Yeah, I remember that day, the latest Naruto ep was a day late and there was a rumour it was going to be released any second, so everyone was hanging around spamming the forums just killing time.
