I was just curious what kiba's name means. I cant find it in any japanese name dictionaries, it seems like it isnt actually a name with meaning. Any ideas?

Kiba means "fang". I think the significance is obvious.

Ki is pronounced "chi" i believe.
The "ki" in Kiba is pronounced differently.

actually, 'chi' is the chinese pronounciation. In japanese, "ki" is a real character which is always pronounced "ki", while "chi" is where "ti" would go, if it existed. If it's spelled "ki", then it is "ki".
