Doujinshi specifically refers to a fan made comic of an existing series or characters. It doesnt have to be hentai but it can be.

If they use their own original characters then it is simply a manga/comic.

nothing quite like a good-quality doujin to kickstart any day. i found some nice full-color ones recently. one thing i cant really stand is the dialogue, reading and fapping DONT MIX! so i generally find the japanese ones if i can, or just the ones with no dialogue
