Ep 47 @ 4:39--4:48 - "In the chakra circulatory system, there are 361 points known as chakra holes. Their width is as small as a needle though. They're known as tenketsu..."

Ok... 361 tenketsus in the chakra circulatory system... right...?

Ep 61 @ 9:06 - "I hit all 64 tenketsus in your body"

Ok... so 64 of them are in your "body"... right...?

Ok... so "all" is 64? If all is 361, shouldnt he be able to mold chakra to his other points? Or is it saying... the 64 in your body link to the others... such that, cutting off the 64 in the "body" area will disable chakra flow to all parts?

Just to clarify it for myself...

Well, I believe the 64 points which the 64 Hands of Hakke strike are considered the "major" tenketsu and the other are considered minor. So, closing a major point will disable the flow of chakra of any other minor tenketsu connected to it. It can probably be compared to a computer network, by shutting off any major computer/server, you affect any other computers connected downstream from it.

ya, i think thats the only possible assumsion we can draw, otherwise, as you point out, there would be an uncharacteristicly huge mistake that's relatively easy to notice...

what also strikes me as odd: in total he hit his body 126 times (2+4+8+16+32+64=126), but he said "64 points" http://www.gotwoot.net/forum/html/emoticons/dry.gif

It depends on whether or not Neji's count-up is a running total or a new series of strikes. Neji shouted "2 Strikes" after hitting Naruto's body twice, and 4 strikes after 2 more hits, for a total of 4. After that, it gets hard for the brain to count that fast.

At least, hard at 2:30am.

in the manga, it definetely shows that he hits 64 times and not 126. Also, most of the scanslations say that Neji hit "64 tenketsu", not "all 64 tenketsu". Of course it's impossible to hit all, the one he pressed on Hinata was at the back of her arm, he would have to stand behind naruto to press it. So we can assume that he didn't press all of them, just enough to make him stop moving.
