Fall season kinda progressed quickly without much fanfare, so here's the thread for the upcoming Winter 2025-season.

Tbh, looks very bad for me. Lots of moe/comedy/isekai bs. Let's see what I'll give a try:

- Ishura Season 2 (season 1 wasn't great, but good enough to make me want to know how things proceed)
- Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Oji-san (bizarre premise. Also: can i fap to this? >_>)
- Sorairo Utility (animation looks above par and maybe it'll be good slice of life)
- Magic Maker (trailer made me curious about the premise, but this can very quickly turn into generic isekai shit)


Fortunately, "Chi" and "Trillion Game" will continue, oof.

will probably sit this one out, seeing as there isn't much that interests me. maybe if something turns out to be a giant hit. or try watching stuff from previous seasons.

* might watch The Apothecary Diaries, but I would need to watch the first season.
* might watch Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru - I read the manga, and it's tons of fun.

* Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon Suru Koto ni Natta - read a bit of the manga, got annoyed about how contrived it was and dropped it.
* Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms - same, dropped the manga around 50 chapters in, I expect this to be a big hit.
* Kono Kaisha ni Suki na Hito ga Imasu - I actually like the manga, but I don't think I'll watch the anime. it's a really cute story, though.
* Kisaki Kyouiku kara Nigetai Watashi -oh. it's this one. extremely unpleasant, don't take my word for it, go read the comments on mangasee.

there are also around five more isekais that I read a few chapters and hated every page of and the base premises is so dumb I can't even. so obviously, no.

Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai - read the manga a lil bit, nothing great but it's something.
Basketball girl > main girl though.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto 2nd Season, which was one of the highlights and unexpected great shows.
and I guess Solo Leveling because why not...

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto 2nd Season - More MaoMao and more varied story arcs.

Will Try:
Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Oji-san - It's an entertaining gag villainess isekai.
Sakamoto Days - At least for a bit. It's popular, but like DanDaDan, I never started reading the manga.

Hard skip:
Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san. - The premise sounds like something I'd totally enjoy, but having read the manga, I know it is utterly wasted. It is a completely bog-standard isekai with far more interesting slice of life moments that are completely squandered because the majority of the series still takes place in the isekai world, not Japan like the premise implies. I saved you several hours of hoping it would be something more.

Akuyaku Reijou episode 1:

yeah, not sure about this one. It had its moments, but it's overall too tame, too low-key, and the reincarnation being played off as fun doesn't allow for any serious developments. Might be a show I'll continue when I'm really bored.

Sorairo Utility 1:

Eh, somewhat nice, but very whatever. Not sure yet. Main girl is dumb, she basically gives up everything after one unsuccessful try, then starts golf, because ... hey, not giving up immediately actually leads to something!!1 lol

Class no Daikirai. I can see why it might seem contrived. After two episodes, it's still okay for me, but it's pretty hard to imagine how it can remain interesting for a whole season. Time will tell.

Magic Maker One of the isekai I haven't seen in the manga form, but it seemed interesting enough. I'll keep watching, unless it gets too uninteresting. One funny detail was the female lead, who's like a non-tsundere, more well-behaving version of Eris Greyrat. The VA is the same, both like to swing the sword, and so forth.

Feels like every person in this anime should seek therapy. Forced drama where none needs be.

Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan - The premise is very basic (old man gets isekai'd into a villainess of an otome game) and covers a series of cliché events for villainess and reincarnation isekai series, but the writing and execution are somehow way above par for it.

- How is an older father able to pass as a teenage noble? Allow the series to demonstrate how the cheat engine works!
- Kind father with pride in his own daughter on Earth struggles to be mean to the otome game heroine, and it backfires and gains encounter points with her every time!
- Waste anime budge on magic and battles? Perish the thought! Spend animation money on the villainess being elegant!

The series has every right to be supremely basic, and while it primarily covered simple staples of its genre, it somehow manages to make them all interesting instead. Look at what legitimately competent writing can do...

I can't believe it's still airing. I thought it ended last week, even hoped. but it got a new OP, so i guess it's up for another season.

are they now starting an actual plot? who knows.

Seen shows like it 100 times, will watch another 100.
It's okay.
The red haired knightgirl looks cute, love designs such as that one.

Magic Maker ep2. It's hard to say if I have ever seen as cringe a beginning of an episode as this. It's like the antithesis of Kage no Jitsuryokusha, despite both having chuuni MCs. Did the author really think that's a good idea? Also, the lectures during the episode were not only utterly unnecessary but boring as hell. I'm quite close to dropping the show, which is a pity since isekai where the MC starts powerless, needing to slowly climb up are exceedingly rare these days. This story also seems to be lacking the usual game interface found in isekai, making this all the more rare. It would be a pity to drop this. I hope the third ep won't have stupid stuff anymore. This episode was half a recap anyway, so maybe it was only because of that and the rest will be normal.

You'd think these days such things wouldn't be necessary. If someone misses the first episode when it's first aired, they can just watch a stream whenever they want. 20 or still 15 years ago things might have been different.

Ao no Miburo - update

The show cant decide where to place itself on the scale of historical accuracy. why play it fairly normal in the first part of the story just to kick into crazy later? and why call attention to the mismatch by also moving to a much more "out there" intro song? I prefer the show after the change, but it doesn't have the visuals or artistic direction to make it work.
show has a problem with time transistions.
the blacksmith girl is a good plot - done before, but it doesn't matter since it works.
it's hard to make one fight hype up two characters, the show already has too many characters to introduce a cabal of evil warriors (is it a single digits cabal or is it an ideological faction?). if someone sent you a letter of challenge, there's no reason to try and hide that you're coming.

episode 18 - black text on dark background? fuck whoever did the subs. more Iai bulshit, people using one handed swords being surprised they can't overpower a two-handed blade.
