Akira Fudo learns from his best friend, Ryo Asuka, that an ancient race of demons has returned to take back the world from humans. Ryo tells Akira that the only way to defeat the demons is to incorporate their supernatural powers, and suggests that he unite with a demon himself. Akira succeeds in transforming into Devilman, who possesses both the powers of a demon and the soul of a human. The battle of Devilman and Akira Fudo begins.

Devilman: Crybaby is a Netflix Original, and it should be out now. Haven't watched this yet, nor have I much experience with Devilman itself, but I'm planning on watching this soon. My only real experience was watching Devilman Lady back in the day which I recall liking plenty.

Any of you watched it yet or are planning on doing so?

Yuasa Masaaki looks to be in charge of this, who can be very hit and miss. I've enjoyed some of the stuff he's come up with, but we'll see.

I'm not good with violence and gory stuff so I stopped at ep1.
The art is not my cup of tea.
I guess there's some rythm to it that might tune well with some viewers.

I can understand that, I'm into gory violence.

As for the art, yeah, that's what I mostly meant by hit or miss. Once you get into rhythm though you can appreciate it. That's how it was with me and 2 of his previous series, Kaiba and Kemonozume. He also did the Ping Pong one which is highly regarded, but I haven't gotten into it yet.

Oh I see, Ping Pong... Same kind of distorted forms/colors art then.
