FUCK YEAH! Usopp unlocked Observation Haki!
This whole arc has been worth it now.
Best shot ever.
It's really dumb though that they keep just making her faint. Especially when she clearly doesn't stay passed out for very long. She's so fucking dangerous, they should really be knocking her ass out.

Prob cause she`s a kid.

She's a totally remorseless and pitiless horrible slaver responsible for the deaths of hundreds if not thousands, most likely (in the form of broken toys), but nobody can kick her ass because she's a kid.
Latent observation haki would certainly explain how Usopp has always been an excellent sharpshooter and how he seemed to have such an excellent eyesight.

Usopp's a pro at making girls faint. Remember Perona?

Prob cause she`s a kid. They've already been told that she isn't though. Her fruit just keeps her from aging.
Latent observation haki would certainly explain how Usopp has always been an excellent sharpshooter and how he seemed to have such an excellent eyesight.I feel like that diminishes his accomplishments as a marksman up to that point. "You're only a good marksman because you were magic the whole time". Instead of "You're become magic because you were such a good marksman."
It's like saying Zoro is only a good swordsman because he had latent Haki the whole time.

You might very well be correct, although I don't personally think it reduces his fame either way. In any case it's given he wouldn't have ever unlocked the haki if he hadn't been pushing his skills to the max for so long and now beyond the max in his desperation.

Not to mention observation haki alone wouldn't have allowed him to engineer a slingshot-catapulted payload that had two sets of thrusters, and be able to get it straight to the target from that distance.

Wait, so...was USOPP the first Strawhat besides Luffy to unlock Haki?

Nope, Sanji and Zoro can both use haki

Nope, Sanji and Zoro can both use hakiWhat evidence is there of that?
Especially with Sanji. I'm completely certain that Sanji is going to develop Armament Haki. When he fought Vergo, they showed him fracturing his leg against Vergo, and his title is already "Black Leg". There's no way he's not going to learn to armament his leg.

They've already been told that she isn't though. Her fruit just keeps her from aging.
Then it`s probably because she looks like a kid.

During the last arc, when Law was teaming up with Luffy, he mentioned that Ceasar is a logia user, and asked what members of Luffy's crew could use haki to catch him. Also, Sanji used haki to locate the samurai dude's torso in the lake, and Zoro used haki to cut Monet in her snow angel form.

Observation haki is also something that Usopp could have developed from living with so many haki users for a long time. Although the other crew members didn't have complete control over their haki until recently, they still unconsciously had to have been making use of it the whole time. Also a lot of times in his fights you'll notice he narrowly dodges random attacks that look like they would have been significantly more damaging than the ones that hit him, he may have also been using it unconsciously the entire time.

Imo I think Luffy's drive inspires the best out of other people, enabling them to reach limits they otherwise would never have come close to. Can you imagine where Usopp would be now if Luffy never went to his hometown? Usopp would be doing jack shit.

His whole town would be dead and burnt to the ground, he'd be alive because he ran away.

The whole town, no. I thought Captain Kuro's plan was to just kill Usopp's girl and live peacefully in her mansion?

I think you are correct, his crew was there to pillage the town so he could pin the blame of her death on them, it's been awhile my mistake.

He would be worse off than dead because he would have run away after Kuro killed his love interest. That would be no average cowardice to carry as a burden.
