At least. I know the arc started in the anime almost 10 years ago.

Bridges like that are jolly good, even if an island of midgets isn't so novel or specific: It could have been incorporated into any manner of an arc later. Still, few authors seem to have what it takes to see this far ahead, or just bother trying.
