One thing is clear: 800 years of peace didn't make the people of Dressrosa virtuous. The long peace made them idiots. An infamous pirate appears out of nowhere and asks for an extravagant sum of money and even places conditions like that... And the king instantly obeys? Didn't it ever visit his mind a pirate wouldn't be a pirate in the first place if he was an horourable man? I'd say the king deserved what he got, as well as his underlings for not stopping him by any means necessary. Rebecca is really lucky she's alive at all.

It's times like this that make me wish Luffy killed people now and then. Because I'd really like Doflamingo to die horribly.


Anyway, at least it's believable that the people would turn on the king now. It wasn't just some guys telling them the king did something.

Nice to see Doflamingo's puppet ability used in some notably tragic way. Up to this point it's been him dicking around with lesser pirates or marines.
