Plot: In the aftermath of a devastating world war, Deunan Knute and Briareos are scraping by a living as mercenaries in a ruined New York City. Deunan dreams of finding the technological utopia known as Olympus, though Briareos isn't so sure it exists. They soon cross paths with a mysterious girl and her cyborg bodyguard who claim to be on an important mission for Olympus and that they are fleeing a team of highly advanced cyborg mercenaries who will stop at nothing to ensure that they fail. -MAL

This movie would have flopped pretty hard had it not been for Two-Horns. But since it did have him, it was good enough to fill time. In no way is this as good as the John Woo film in 2007. All that said, I do enjoy my Appleseed animated nicely from time to time. English-only audio was an interesting choice and it didn't detach me from the enjoyment, so well done there. That said, the film seemed to be built with that in mind from the start, so the normal cultural clashes aren't a problem anyway. (The city to be destroyed was New York no less!)
