Why is this any good? I don't know the original work, so I have no idea. The trailer looked pretty stupid and corny, but maybe I am missing something. It looked like a superhero parody with a gigantic budget.

It's a Marvel comic. I've only seen covers of it before so can't say if the comic itself is any good. I thought it looked like it could be good based on the trailer. Corny sure, but that's part of the charm.
