This felt very much like a filler. Based on the preview, the next episode looks no different. Just like frog hermit said in his thread.

I don't see the point of Sai's sealing technique really.

They've already shown lots of ninjas in this arc using sealing techniques that don't seem nearly as complicated, dangerous, or slow.

Maybe if certain characters, like Kages, were too strong to be sealed by the techniques of the others it might make some sense. But so far, it seems like it would be better if Sai would just let the Sealing teams do their superior-in-every-way job.


If this is filler, I'm still glad they're doing it, because the manga took the time to introduce all these 7 Swordsmen and Gekkei Genkai characters, and if they were all defeated off screen, then it was kinda pointless introducing them in the first place.
