My reaction to this is mixed. I can't deny I enjoyed seeing the game animated, but on the other hand this felt exactly like watching the game animated, not an anime based on the game. It's true the game was in many ways more like a game and less like a novel, compared to Clannad or Kanon, for example, with all the fighting and the baseball. So, maybe it couldn't be avoided.

Other than that, you could certainly see KyoAni wasn't the maker. Still, I'll keep watching. I haven't actually played but a fraction of the game routes, so this anime ought to grant me plenty to look forward to.

Key games are all about the after story, so you are missing a lot if you haven't completed the game. Here is to both of us hoping this turns out well.

I'm liking this a lot more after the first episode, not that I wouldn't have liked it already a week ago, despite some doubts. There are some really funny scenes and characters.

WTF? Did David just edit that last part?

The music for this show (which was taken from the VN) is absolutely godly. BG music that does exactly what it intends to without attempting to sound epic or different, excellent.

Don't worry about it, David is just too embarrassed to post into this thread, so he needs to use other people's posts. Even though he's French.

The music is indeed very suitable. I'm also glad they kept it.

It's totally Key, but lacks a little bit of adorable and charisma characters. Characters that leave an impression.

The baseball selection was a lot of fun though.

It's pretty good, I'm just a spoiled guy.

PS:Sorry for the horrible mistake. Happens once in a while but I'm usually able to stop right before sending...

When playing the game, I always got a feeling Kurugaya is really tall, but here her height looks normal. Better this way.

Hmm, this anime seems more mediocre than what I was expecting..

It just seems a bit.. bland at the moment, with nothing really connecting on an emotional level. I have to agree with David's earlier post. The rag-tag team and seemingly lack of teachers make this feel like Angel Beats with less catchy characters.

That said, Kurugaya's a start.

Hmm, I had two theories:

1) Riki was Komari's brother
2) Kojirou is Komari's brother, and is suffering from some sort of accelerated aging disease

But neither of those are correct it seems.

2 is what I was thinking all the time, 1 didn't even visit my mind and it can't be correct. It's a good question why they made such a big deal about the old man if he's not involved in any way.

This episode had some of the same impact factor Kanon and Clannad served as well. Although at the same time I feel like the old geezer's role was left kind of ambiguous. But perhaps he was so close to death that he wouldn't have had the energy anymore to try to solve some high school girl's problems.

I could feel the similarities between this and Clannad (haven't seen Kanon), but it wasn't as impactful. While Clannad really struck me, Little Busters more or less grazed the surface.

Maybe I just don't particularly like the characters much..

Im sure the fact that the animation looks like shit doesn't help.

I'm surprised people are still watching this.

Obviously you haven't been watching this if you believe the animation looks like shit. There's nothing wrong with it, nothing at all.

How's everyone feeling about this right now? I don't think I've watched anything past episode 08. It's been exceedingly bland for me, not unlike the washed-out colours.

I'm still following this, but only because it fills time when I'm bored.
And it doesn't really help me out of boredom.
There's nothing really good about that show, nothing to be slightly above average or something.

I'm still watching this, but this feels more like a collection of scenes than a solid greater story. Fortunately some of the scenes are good and funny. Some, however, rely a bit too much on moe for my tastes.
