while it was nice to know the fate of the front cover character, would have been nice to have a dramatic entrance in the story

So those hunters were able to up and disappear in front of Luffy? That does not compute with his speed and haki.

Idk my fruit ability only allows me to conclude that fruits are behind every unknown ability. I ate the no-clue no-clue fruit. I'm a no clue man. I must constantly suspend my disbelief XD

As far as I remember, there's only one "copy" of each kind of fruit in the world. And you can't share a DF with somebody and still get powers.

I don't remember where I got that from, though. Maybe when CP-9 started handing them out?

Maybe Luffy is just a scrub again. Yeah, he stepped up his game a lot, but everybody in the New World has too.
