So i'm taking the bus home and this cute chick sits next to me. I'm in the middle of the bus and it's half empty with plenty of double seats available so i take it as a good sign right? We start chatting and i ask her out right? I even throw the "It's my birthday" line right? She then proceeds to decline, followed by a 20 minute explanation on how she's had her heart broken by some dude along with tears and hugs. Moral of the story? Always have an exit strategy.

Other than that yeah... cool birthday.

Let that be a lesson to you Sir. As soon as she said no, you should have gotten up out of the seat and moved away or asked her to move. Either way it would have saved you from a 20 minute cry-a-thon.

That's not something that you can assume that that is all that chick is about, that's mean. She might have just had a bad day and needed to unload and now that that is out of the way, that means they can start something meaningful together.
